ok, i dont know if this has been asked or adressed before, so please dont flame me. (i see alot of hostility for repeat questions)

but is there a flash player for the GP32? like has anyone attempted to make one? is there one in the process? or is it impossible? I know it takes alot to play flash sequences right, (power limits and all) but something can be done right?

there are many good animations and games made in flash that im sure alot of people would like to carry around with them. i know i would.

(just a quickie) is there anygood done in wada?(java ripoff for those who dont know)

gp32_console

Far as I know there are no flash players for the gp32_console . One reason might be because that Flash is copyrighted by Macromedia and another reason might be that it takes some hefty hardware to play flash movies sometimes; atleast it seems that way to me.

There is and there will never be any Flash Player on GP32, it requires too much power to be able to run vectorial movies on GP32. ;)

Get a .swf to .avi converter, then VDub the .avi. You won't be able to do interactive flash things that way, but you can see the movies :)

Depends on whichversion flash you are talking about. At one point gamepark did a demo of their flash player on the GPi, but never released it (or finished it, probably)

Bla. Fact is, Macromedia overs a devkit to every firm that is interested in this and the specs of the GP32 should be enough.
Another fact is that Gamepark already acquired such a devkit, ported it over to the GP32 but they never released it.

...and there would be no problems at all control wise. You could easily set up a virtual keyboard that lets you assign keyboard-controls to buttons and the same for a mouse. And if this would not work, you could create special games just for GP32. Flash would give much opportunity to the GP32, as it also is capable of playing streaming video, mp3, ogg (iirc) and pictures of all sorts. Could somebody please make gamepark publish their player, or at least show us what they already have done?

There is a GPL flash player at http://www.swift-tools.net/Flash/
Nice thinking, but nope. That one can only play Flash3 and often crashes on Flash4. So its unusable with nowadays Flashgames/movies. Sorry. :/

Do you think, we could start some sort of petition for Gamepark to make them release that Flashplayer? It would do their company good.... Or we could mail them or talk to Liksang or something like that.
