After weeks of screwing about with about 20 CD-Rs and numerous selfboot tools I still cannot get this Emu to boot on my DC. I know that my DC is capable of playing emus I use it all of the time for emulation and homebrew, but this one is now giving me a headache.

If anyone could donate a Nero Image of the latest version for me to try it would be greatly appreciated.

just e-mail me at twimfy@hotmail.com

Thanks.

can a DC Not read Rewritables ???

Try using Alcohol 120% to burn it or different media CDR like Verbatim

Well I'm not using a re writable, and I've tried Disc Juggler but it gives me memory errors. Other programs can't be used because no tools exist to create bootable images. I've tried a DC boot disc as well, but alas no joy.

yeah, i use alcohol 120 when i'm burning dc stuff, works perfect everytime

www.dcemulation.com has many great working utilities and tutorials on making self boot DC cds. They even have some premade isos for many emulators.
Yes, thanks but I am well aware of this. All of the Self booting tools etc have failed to produce a working image that will work on my DC. I've been asking on their forums for weeks now and have recieved little help, thats why I finally caved in and just asked here instead.

I had this problem when trying to get dreamSNES to work. In the end I just got one off of eMule. After many months I tried again and after modifying a technique it worked :)

Hmmm... I just took one of the emulators which featured UberBoot (a boot utility) and after that I just changed the batch files for use with other emulators.

Never had any problems, always worked fine.

The NeoCD emulator also worked fine (tried it a few minutes ago) :)
(Check your PM, Twimfy :))

How well does it actually work? I've heard good things about this emulator and I wasn't sure if it was full speed with sound or what.

Are you using Nero 6? If so that's your problem right there. Nero 6 is junk (by which I mean it does not burn DC discs properly) Use Nero 5.

If not, try using a boot disc. Head over to homebrew.dcemulation.com and grab DC Hakker

One more thing. Make sure you have the proper bios.

Someone on Gamespot spread news that the emu was a fake and didn't run anything because he forgot the bios.
