I have several Windows Media Files that I want to convert to Divx.

Is there a program out there to change WMA to AVI ?

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply chunk-e-munk-e !

But I've tried that, It comes up with a message saying Microsoft have asked them to remove ASF file support.

Yup chunk-e munk-e. You went for the easy option, but it's been gone for a long time.

I believe TMPGEmc is what you need. Get the trial version (basically few other programs do what it can do) and you can convert Quicktime and, I think, ASF format to MPG, plus RM and a bunch of others.

that will convert to mpeg though wich won't do him any good if he is trying to make movie park movies which i assume he is trying to do.

TMPGEnc won't convert to Moviepark Mpeg, but it will convert to DivX or MPEG-2, and then it's easy to convert -that- MPEG using Virtualdub.

The modified (illegal) VDub looks great except the page is down :)

If you can get hold of an older version of virtualdub you may find it works with the microsoft codecs... not sure how long it has been since the author removed support...

Thanks for your help guys !

I downloaded TMPGEnc and this has worked !

But I've downloaded the link from angrypants (cheers!) and will give this a go (the site is up now Rico).

Thanks again. :D

I'm afraid this version of virtuadub doesn't work, the microsoft statement comes up for this one as well.

oh well. :(

If you do want to use virtual dub, you can download version 1.3c from www.oldversion.com , this is the version before microsoft requested support be removed.
