I finally decided to buy a screen from mashmods, only to find they aent selling them n e more, only doing send ins

and since I am not gonna sent my GP32 to Canada, i was wondering whether or not anyone has some cut, or what the specs are to do it ureself (thickness and type)

I was thinking of getting a glass screen but what exactly are the upsides of them, i presume they wudn't scratch as easily.

Edit: Wouldn't it be a possibility to e-mail mahsmods about them sending you a screen rather than sending your gp to them?

Well, upsides are that it doesn't scratch (at all), the visibility is much better, and the colors are more vibrant. Downside is that you might damage your lightguide (if you have a FLU), which sucks. I actually got a tiny scratch on my FLU (about 0.5mm long), which ofcourse is tiny, but it's there still...

They're very easy to get, just take out your plastic screen, take it to a picture framers, and they'll cut you a piece the same size for a couple of quid. You might have to round the corners, though.

Where are you at? I have about 15 glass screens that are 1/16" thick and cut to size and the corners rounded off. The thickness is almost exactly the same as the plastic so the grey frame also fits perfect. Also thinner glass lets more light in. The downside is if you are rough with it and/or put it in your pocket and sit on it you will most likely crack the glass.

I would sell one for $5.00 plus shipping. I am in the US though so airmail would probably cost more that the screen. Also I don't reccomend my screens to anyone that is rough with the unit. The glass is thin, which is good to let light in and fits well, but would also crack if dropped, sat on etc.
