The On-going Flu/blu Saga

If you switch off a BLU on and off and don't wait longer than a second or so then for some reason it displays the same picture as before you switched it off (moved up closer to the top of the screen) and is frozen.

You have to allow longer than a second after stiching it off before switching it on again.

Hey Spam (fisher) do you also get small black lines (to small to have been seen on a FLu) which scroll from left to right and are only visible on emulators (so far I've only seen them there anyway)...

Why didn't you post this under the crooked(sp) post rather than making a separate post (that's just silly)...

SILLY!!!

Screen freeze is fairly normal, I get it in my FLU too, it's different though. I'm guessing it's because either the RAM didn't get cleared yet, or the LCD buffer isn't cleared, or maybe the execution pointer didn't reset yet. (The register which lets the CPU know which line it's supposed to be executing).

There is a flicker in fgen aswell. I am using the free korean batterys from the flu though. It could for some reason be them as some one else had flickering with cheap batteries.

Tapper used to do that on my old C64. You could turn the machine off, leave it for a second and turn it back on and Tapper would still be there and still be playable (although with slightly corrupted graphics). Dunno why I mentioned that actually, seemed relevant at the time, but doesn't now...

Sam - it's relevant to the other thread - please dont just create another thread if you're not getting the answers you want in that one.

Cheers
What part do you mean. I don't understand which of my posts you are talking about. The only other topic I have made was a poll about a tilted screen. And it proved that gamepark did soething when making the blus that tilted the screen slightly.

I have tried the same game in the open snes on my flu and my blu. I am a little worried. The blu flickers madly when in the sctual game and yet the flu does not at all but freeze eventually as It can't over clock much.there is vertical lines flickering.

mine flickers so of the time
but i don't worry about it
it only does it for like a second
how long does your flicker for?

I think my post just keep smashing them up in transit. :(
Either that or craig is destroying my gp32's on purpose!
Nah I'm sure it's just yours he's smashing up Sam. Not many other people seem to be having problems. Maybe send it in with a fake name next time ;). He most likely has a pile of broken ones ready to send you, for when you send your broken one back.

Just a little question. My friend was round just now and my brother screamed like a girl onto my gp32 trying to break it. My friend said that the blu light looks dimmer than it was the other day when he saw it and sound like that can damage LCD. He also said if the gp32 outer scrren is as thin as I tell him that it will damage that. My friend knows alot about computer but is any of that true? ;)
It seemed a littlee bit farfetched to me.
