Null vote for me. Both emus are superb and all coders for both emulators deserve much respect.

I agree. I have both on my SMC :)
I also agree. But....

PANORAMA COTTON!! This is probably the game that pushes the GN farther than any other game. First emu to get this working perfectly wins my vote. Oh, and right now, it works with gigadrive and not fgen32. (i think to to something with z80 emulation) Both emus are on my smc! Great work everyone who works on these great emus!

I'd say this is a pretty unconstructive post as both emulators are still actively under development. Last week everyone would have been voting for Gigadrive (which is what I'm gonna do to balance things...).

The sound on Gigadrive is SMS all over, true, but in truth it was mainly released because people were begging for sound whatever stage it was at, and I think that we should be grateful it was released, as the developer didn't seem totally happy but did it because he likes the GP scene.

The race is far from over and I can see this heading for a dead heat. I'd be disillusioned if I was fDave seeing a poll like this...

Pah! I'll bide my time I'll tell you... one day GigaDrive and PicoDrive will rule supreme! :)

Having said that fGen32 doesn't run at all on my poor GP32 - it crashes in the Rom scan! So I for one would be (genuinely) voting for GigaDrive personally ;-)

Well I can't vote because I've been working on fGen :)

But I'm interested in the comments about Gigadrive having better compatibility... Without wanting to steal Rockout's topic, could people please let us know what works on Gigadrive but doesn't on fGen? I can't see any reason for the compatibility being different but I'll certainly look into it (as will rlyeh)

Thanks!
Bubble and squeak

Despite the fact that the start screen runs very slowly it plays well on gigadrive

I am impressed with both emulators! Fgen looks very slick and has a great interface/splashscreen. Gigadrive has a very good compatibility. I will no doubt be using both versions on my flash - update after update - because it´s just magical to see those games run on both emulators.

Achieving the same goal in different ways....fascinating.

Suggestion: if you like fgen, make a small donation with paypal to the author! He´ll appreciate that. I did.
