Hello everyone! Can someone help me please? I've noticed that certain PNDs won't work from the /pandora/menu subdirectory on the SD card and only work if they are copied to the /pandora/apps subdirectory. Is there any way I can change this? I appreciate any help you can give me.

Sorry, edited because I originally typed my problem in wrong. I thought the apps only worked if they were on the desktop but they were in pandora/apps, hence the mistake because PNDs in /apps are shown on the desktop, too.

Thanks for your reply! PCE.emu, Zesaurux, Temper, Pandysea, Colem and Sim Coupé.

That's strange, I never had this kind of behavour. Is PCE.emu my version? If yes, than I can confirm you it works on my side (haveing PCE.emu in "menu" make it appears only in the menu, not on the desktop).
Is it posible your SDCard filesystem is corrupted in some way? Is it a FAT32 formated one of Ext2/3/4 ? If FAT32, try fix it on a windows machine if possible.

Yes, sorry about the confusion. I meant they work in /apps, which show them on the menu and on the desktop, but they do not work in /menu.
PCE.emu is the latest version.
I will certainly test the file system and repair it if necessary. If nothing else helps, I will also reset the pandora to factory settings as a last resort.

So, if you put them in .../apps it launches fine even if you find them in the menu?

I'm pretty sure I have at least PCE.emu, Zesaurux and Colem in my .../menu folder, and that all launch fine for me from there. Check the /tmp/pndrun files after trying and failing to launch one, which hopefully will give us an actual error to work with.

Yes, that is correct. Will check /tmp/pndrun.
[doublepost=1523506407,1523500881][/doublepost]Well, I've found out what the problem was and I feel more than a little silly. In the /menu subdirectory, I have further directories named after the machines. The PNDs won't run if there is a space in the name of the directory. It was as simple as that. The reason the PNDs worked in /apps was that I just dropped them right in there without the subdirectories. Thanks to everyone and sorry again.

Glad to hear you've got it sorted. I'm not sure if there's a bug in pnd_run now or not; as far as I know, files for the menu are meant to go directly into /pandora/menu. Other subdirectories being in there shouldn't upset it, and if you put a pnd inside a subdirectory it's irrelevant whether it's got a space in it or not; pnd_run isn't meant to be looking there. I have in the past created a subfolder to put some pnds in to disable them for example. If on the other hand, if having directories with spaces in them alongside the legitimate pnds breaks pnd_run, that does sound like a bug to me.

Unfortunately my Pandora is feeling it's age at the moment and is out of action, so I can't simply try this out and see.
