The Communication Cube

I'm stumped as to what to do today. Do I mess about with my Nintendo Switch, I've got it to boot into RCM so far but haven't got round to doing anything further yet, beta test some games or watch some random YouTube videos. /first world problems
How about working?

@Cerbera: Stop hogging your control, and relinquish it to another of your persona's... It's only fair they get some 'alone-time'...

You should watch some YT vids on multiverses and black holes.

I ended up watching https://www.youtube.com/user/jastownsendandson

How about working?

Now you're just being silly. :p

Or going outside, assuming the weather's nice where you are.

I did end up visiting my grandparents when it finally stopped looking like it was going to rain.

relinquish it to another of your persona's

2 isn't the kind of person that you want in charge and Idoha is a whole separate person so doesn't fit your statement.

Also in other news.

Built a temporary stand for this laptop screen to figure out a hinge. Moar displays! :D
You get a good look at the backlight here.
I found out that short wood screws - or rather the surrounding wood - don't cope too well with the leverage from moving the tightly fastened hinges. Maybe I should use more metal, or drive-in nuts - anyway more tinkering lies ahead.

The snake is definitely in the picture (it's the long grey thing), also what's a squirrel?

Bonus: The worlds least creepy record turned up at work today.

Just finished installing an updated touchpad driver on my laptop.

The previous driver install went like:
  1. Install driver via Snappy Driver Installer
  2. Restart
  3. Edit settings
  4. Done
The current driver install went like:
  1. Install driver via Snappy Driver Installer
  2. Restart
  3. Touchpad settings software not installed
  4. Locate software in appx archive in relevant driver folder in touchpad driver archive
  5. Extract appx archive to location on hard drive
  6. Run software
  7. Edit settings
  8. Hope settings survive a restart
  9. Restart to find out
  10. Settings do survive a restart
  11. Done

I think - hope! - I've found the reason for my PC bluescreening and locking up. I got IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and feared the worst things because all the parts are no older than three months and I already had one broken RAM stick.

The bluescreens would happen mostly when gaming and runing a video in the browser. Weirdly enough I couldn't replicate them when fully taxing the CPU with CPU-Z and the video card with Unigine Heaven at the same time.
On the other hand playing a YT video and starting a game like Battlefield 3 would result in a bluescreen within from 1 to 30 minutes.
Older games I had been playing since I built the PC would not cause problems, just a few I tried recently.

Turns out it was most likely the GPU riser cable I had been using.
I wrapped the cable in aluminium foil and that seemed to do the trick. Been running a game for an hour and it hasn't crashed.

Also received a replacement display controller from China for the one that magic smoked out of existence. Now running a laptop screen powered by PSU's molex connector as a second screen.

And Vodafone seem to have fixed our DSL issues. I hope I can get on with gaming/streaming without having problems all the time.

I narrowed my laptop's bluescreen problems down to Fast Startup.

Fast Startup enabled: Laptop randomly bluescreens while booting.
Fast Startup disabled: Not one bluescreen after months of continued use.

Today I put my old LCD TV in my Office to make the first step in my Project: Pyra Work PC ..
it’s works allready whit the Pandora, but I don’t know how to connect my Network Printer..
And the Picture is a bit un sharp ,

But whit the GPD Win, it’s worked whit a better picture..

Mybe I could use this also for Netflix..

Do someone know : dos the Pyra use the same HDMI Connector as the GPD Win ??
