I'm pretty keen on getting FLCL on DVD as I really loved that show...but can anyone tell me wether they think this is a bootleg or an original?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...ssPageName=WDVW

I only want the original really, my friend bought the entire Cowboy Bebop box set and it turned out to be some dodgy Chinese bootleg that had nearly meaningless subtitles. Brought a whole new meaning to the word Engrish <_<

Looks an awful lot like a crappy bootleg. Take your chances if you wish, I mean, its pretty cheap.

looks fake to me, the picture at the bottom is of a sleeve that looks amatuer, the sort of thing that anyone can download.

the use of the DVD logo in the top right looks sussed too, you ever seen that on a real DVD? maybe on the spine, but rarely the front.

This DVD come in its own box, and is sealed. However, I will be removing the plastic seal so that I can test the disk before shipping.

Yeah right.

And language Japanese or English with English subtitles? Region Free?
That thing is absolutely bootleg, believe me.

And how can it be "never viewed" when he takes the disk out to test? :p

Looks Proper, He Has 100% Feedback and doesnt seem to have any complaints

Also, When u put a auction up with a Picture EBAY automatically Resize it, Thats probably why it looks fake

Just download it... there is an .ogm version which allows you to switch subs on and off and voices etc, and is high quality. Personally didnt enjoy it much; didnt give it much of a chance though.

Hmm... the interesting thing is that he writes

"This single disket was a DVD9 disk (best quality available),"

Does he mean it "was" a DVD9 before he ripped and burnt it?
'cause there are not many DVD9 burners out there (and they still are pretty expensive).

If it REALLY is a DVD9 disk, I don't think he burnt it himself...

it has the same pic as the HK DVD and its made by FX whitch I have 3 dvds of and all great quality it is bootleged

The Official DVD is a set of 3 which run at $30 each

Yeah I got an LG for £60. Mind you, I haven't got any DL disks yet. I've heard all sorts of price rumours, the lowest being £3. In which case, it's not worth selling this DVD for £4.99.

Could be malaysian I suppose, but I bet (as Evildragon pointed out) that it's recorded onto a standard DVDR.

edit: this series sounds good though, I think I'll look it up ;)
