right i've decided tp invest some money in this gp32 thingy. what stuff will i need to purchase with it or download to start with?

console
smart media card
emulators
drivers?
batteries?

can anyone help build a list to get me started?

Movie Park(~£3) from www.entware.com
128 SMart Media 14.99 From Ebuyer.co.uk
Emulators From this very site
ROMS search these forms for links and Gooogle
Origonal Doom 1 & 2 .WAD files
Youl get your drivers when u register your GP32

Not essential but i plan on getting them:

3V Female mains adapter.
Decent Chargeable Battery Kit
Head Phones

Also i have one and its nice and fast for copying movies over the smart media: An SMS card reader/writer (dont know best place to get one sorry. Mine came build into my pc)

Hope this helps and doesnt put you off. You only really need the GP32, Media and a PC so dont panic.

you can get the best batteries and charger from this place:

http://www.digibattery.co.uk/astro/index.htm

These things last AGES, and charge in just over 1 hour

expensive, but its a perfect companion rather than a mains adapter IMHO :p
Thx for the link I think i'll treat myself :)

games are free. all you need is a gp32 (~150$)
and a 128mb smc (~20-30$)
you dont need movie park unless you have way too much time to waste.
headphones arent needed, but usefull for mp3s, bose, jvc, or sony would suffice.

What do you mean useless? I remember after the derby I took my GP32 to all my mates and family members and reran the derby goals again and again and again - the best thing was, there was no escape, GP32 is portable you know - ha ha (demonic laughter)......maybe I do have way to much time to waste... come to think of it, I'm busy wasting time right now.

 Were the hell do you get off speaking about other forum members like that?!

No one said he NEEDED these things I even said ".....You only really need the GP32, Media and a PC so dont panic. "

Just helping the guy get an idea for possible accessories. No need to dismiss the people who actually took the time to help some one.

you really only need a GP32, a 128mb SMC, a set of really good batteries and possibly a set of headphones, everything else is just fun stuff which you can buy at a later date like i'm starting to do
