I recently bought a Saturn Mod Chip Board V2 from here for £13.24 (incl. shipping) and unfortunately it is not compatible with my Saturn.

Family game state clearly on their site they will accept returns so I would like to sell it. Would anyone who could use this like to buy it off me? I'll offer it for £7.

Installation guide is here.

Do you mean *not* accept returns?
Yep, I meant they don't accept returns. Must have been thinking quicker than I can type (which is fairly slow).

I am interested if you ship to the United States. Does it work with a Japanese Model 2 White Saturn? Does it play imports?

EDIT: I read it and it says it only plays backups. Just let me know if you ship to the US.

Thanks

Here are all the details copied from the site I bought it from:

Saturn Mod Chip Board V2

Features:

* For 21pin Saturns (count the pins on the white ribbon cable)
* Works with a 32pin and 64pin chip CD Drives.
* Allows for play of Saturn backups
* For Europe, US and Japanese Saturn models
* Comes with the extra white ribbon cable required
* To play imports you'll need the Action Replay below

Product works with both types shown on the right, 32pin and 64pin chips versions of CD Drive unit.

May not be compatable with 100% of Saturns, its hard to know which, so we cannot accept returns of this product now. Technical support is not available for this item, check the installation guide.

I have a Saturn that has a hardware switch for playing imports. It makes it 100% compatible with either Japanese or US software. No, it doesn't allow you to play "backups".

Is anyone interested in it?

Don't get it. For a better deal you can get the 4mb ram cart plus converter to play Japanese games. Thats what I have to play my imports and the best import fighters, like street fighter vs xmen, need that 4mb cart to play. And the best thing is, it fits right in that nice slot behind the cd lid.

But if you are in PAL, using the cart, the game is 17% slower, so it is better for us to have a switch.

All i know is i bought the 4mb ram cart that doubled as the converter to play import games, I had x-men vs. street fighter, and Vampire Savior and they both played great.

Sorry I meant borders, I was in a rush.

Not that I remember, i'll have to fire up the Saturn when I get home tonight to double check, but from what I remember, there were no boarders or anything, it played just like a regular american game, except most of the text is Japanese. and you need the 4mb memory card to run the 2d Capcom fighters like Vampire Savior, Marvel vs. Street fighter, or Street fighter vs. X men.

I think there are also some other import games, 2d, that require the 4mb card as well, so this cartridge, I will get the name of it when i go home, kills 2 birds with one stone.

There are some reasons to have a switch. I think a few games don't work with a RAM cart as they check for it and then don't work, like some check for mod chips, or they are simply incompatible with the extra RAM. It is impossible for a game to check for a switch as it actually hardware switches the country code jumpers. Plus there are some Japanese cartridge games too. How would you have a RAM cart and a game cart in the same slot?

I think I am going to put a switch in my saturn soon, just for the point of having a switch, and to play JAP imports, maybe.

x-men vs street fighter is a cd, but came with a cartridge, the cartridge was the 4 mb ram cart, but its not playable on US Saturns without a converter, the 4mb ram cart is the convertor that I have so the cartridge that comes with the games are not needed. I'm not aware of any saturn games that require a cartridge that is more than just extra memory and my memory/convertor card does all that.
