Any One Seen 'the Ring'?

I like them all. Has anyone seen the sequels/prequels? I also think they're good.

I did like the American better come to think of it but I preferred the way the girl walked in the Jap one. The way it was backwards yet forwards....if you know what I mean. It was just forwards in the American.

The Jap version is the scariest film i've ever seen by miles.

That said I showed it to a friend once who didn't find it scary at all, but then I don't think she was really 'into' the story, I suppose its quite a cult film.

Nothing else has come close to scaring me like ringu did.

Personally i think the japanese version is the best. The american version didn't quite have that same eeriness to it.

Agreed. Even the ghosts name is better in Japanese.

Which do you find most scary?

Samantha, or Sadako?

Sadako means Pure child to ^^
ISn't it Samara in the American one?
Anyway this is scary:
MY mate was watching it alone in his attack and when the film finished his brother phoned him and said "seven days".

I watched it yesterday. the ameriacan version.

What was diferent between the jap and eng versions?

There is a sequel?!?

wasnt that scared, but then again i watched it in the day. i wish i didnt though.

Order of films (chronlogical production):

Ringu
Ringu 2
Ringu 0
The Ring

if you think thats scary watch Ju-On: The Grudge

it is in the same vein as Ringu but scarier and Korean (which sound scarier than Jap, and also koreans are known for overacting, se Volcano High)

Ju-On is in a lot of cinemas now, and there is already a hollywood remake nearly completed with Sarah Michelle Gellar in, but they tend to tame American remakes

Ring(u) was probably the scarier film, but I watched Dark Water in the cinema and couldn't walk down a corridor alone without looking over my shoulder for weeks. I'm still a little scared to pick up the DVD and watch it again!

I know, I know, I'm a girly wuss boy :p
