Has anyone in England heard of freeview?

Well i wanted to egt it for my room but they dont have it in my area..

Does anyone know the names of other freeview type thingies?

To be honest i dont reckon its really worth getting, it's just mostly full of repeats the news channels are fairly good though because you can get up to the minute news, but other than that their not really that good.

I duno what the other guy is talking about freeview is class, BBC3- little Britain, ITV2 -Champs League and the best channel sky sports news which saves me a shit load of time for fantasy league and betting etc.
Anyways the TV companies are going to stop broadcasting analog signals soon anyway so your going to have to buy one that or a TV with a reciever already installed.
You only have to pay once no contract.

Get mine coz its class, its also a £10er cheaper if you go into the shop

Sky will be launching a similar service to freeview, with a one-off payment required. itll have more channels (about 70+ i think), but theres no set release date, or even hard confirmation of a release at all. I cant get freeview either, it sucks. Try ringing around, you can get souped-up aerials fitted sometimes which might pick up the freeview service for you.

ringing around?

the problem is, i dont know where to research. I seached for "free digital TV" on google, and all i got was pages and pages of freeview box sellers.

Thats cos freeview is the only one around now. It's the old ITV digital, bought up and made free for public consumption.

And it's a damn sight better than normal terrestrial - BBC3 is cracking :)

Little Britain Rocks!

Various Quotes

"i am hard yet soft, coloured yet clear, i am solid yet liquid, i am jelly, what am i?"

"im the only gay in this village"

"yeah but no"

"have you something a little less piratey"

+ if u reall want to u can pay a we bit more for that top up tv thing and get E4 and sum other channels

I have satellite tho so i cant be fuked

but freeview boxes are good ive got 1 in my room here, 10 pounds of ebay, ex-ITVDigital 1

Ring around - Theres usually adverts in local papers for aerial fitters. If not, ask your local electronics store what they can do. If they cant help, its more than likely theyll know someone who can or at least be able to give you some extra advice.

you probably can get it actually, my postcode supposedly can't, but guess who's watching itv2 now?
it's worth getting, some stuff like little britain and dilbert is just class.

Little Britain has gone downhill

series 2 has recycled some of the radio characters that were too crap for series one, like viv

Its appears to have gone from mocking chavs, to being a program for chavs, it humour is basic at best and not clever as it was in the radio series and the first TV series.

If you want humour Peep Show on Channel 4 is very funny, and for the thinking man

Smoking room is good, although now its being shown on BBC2 so digital isnt necessary

Nighty Nights a bit odd, but funny at times

My Life In Film is a brilliant program, well thoguht out

and if it comes with BBC4 your in luck coz you get programs like City of Men and DVD collection (a TV film show that doesnt give everything an "excellent" rating, IM LOOKING AT YOU MR ROSS, BOTH OF YOU)

true, Nighty Night is some real disturbing shit:
for example:
masturbating in the toliet
going in a kinky sex shop thingy
Man in a nappy
And when the main woman (never did pick up on her name) puts her legs apart with no knickers on and shocks the vicar.

hehe, quite funny, I think it's a bit of an attention seeker lol. But still cool.

I've got a freeview tv card for my PC.

Its pretty cool, as I can record straight from TV into MPEG. I mainly use it for playing Xbox tho.

The reception can sometimes be dodgy unless you use a roof aerial.

I didnt think the peep show was that funny...

And I still dono any other digital TV thingies.

To be honest, this series of Little Britain is a little more patchy, but is still good. One piece of comedy genius that has just made the transition from BBC3 to BBC2 is 'The Mighty Boosh'.

Catch it while you can!

for £29.99 you cant go wrong :p

The Bidding / Selling Channels are fun to watch sometimes... Its funny on QVC etc when they are selling things and they cant get them to work :p LOL
