I think that it would be cool to make a graphing calc emu, because the only things that they have and the GP32 dosen't (I think, and they also have other worse things like screen RES or something) is the keys, and you could do something like in frodo, L brings up a keypad. Only problem I see is that someone would have to dump the BIOS unless you emu one where there are BIOS updates on the web, most TIs have it I think. Here is a spec list for a TI if noone knows where to find it :)

CPU: (unknown but prolly a ARM7 ~16MhZ, but I could be terribly wrong, just say 50MhZ just in case
FPU: Probbably easy to emulate with another 70MhZ
GPU: Don't think it has any
Screen: Picture looks smaller than GP32's ;) I think B/W, but if not, still easy
RAM: 48K, EASY.
Memory: 1.5MB
BIOS Memory: Dunno, but can't be more than 1MB

I think it would be easy if you can DL FW without having one, and there are free games for it everywhere

This would be great!!!

Think about it - you could legitimally take your GP32 into math class with you!!

It would also show just how versatile the GP32 can be.

Heheheh - imagine the conversation when the teacher asks why you've just got a gameboy out lol.

It couldn't be your only one though, since its got the potential to store notes on it --> not allowed in an exam room (obviously)

I don't know if you just made up those specifications rcx21000 or what, because they are nowhere close to any of the Texas Instrument calculator models.
Here are some real specs:

TI-83
CPU 6 MHz ZiLOG Z80
Memory 27K RAM
Screen Size 96x64 pixels, 16x8 characters

TI-92 Plus
CPU 10 MHz MC68000
Memory 188K RAM, 384K Flash ROM
Screen Size 240x128 pixels

I'd alsso LOOOVE to see an emulator of a T-83(plus) ported ot the gP32!

The TI-83 as Sdw said runs on Z80. However I think it would be easier and more legal to buy your own. I doubt you'd be allowed to use them and they're too slow to use properly anyway (typing in calculations with the virtual keyboard...)

You might as well just say it would be easier and more legal to buy a nes instead of emulate. I am interested in a graphing calc emu. I dont have the 100$ to buy one, I was lucky enough to afford a gp32. Even if I had the money, I would much rather carry around a gp32 than a ti-83.
Even if it is just a normal calculator, I hope one is made.

Hell there isnt even a good graphing calc on the friggen pocketpc!
Id love it if we had one for the Gp32! :D

Well, I did make up the CPU, but I am sure that the RAM and Flash Mem is right for the TI-83 Plus SIVLER EDITION

I think a graphing calc emu would be a great advertisement for the GP32. Think about it. If you took the GP32 into math class, I bet everyone else in the room would then wish they could do the same.
