I suspect this topic has been discussed before, but I'm a newbie, so humor me.

Is it impossible to emulate a PC system? Not just for the gp32 but it seems it doesn't exist on any other platform either. Wouldn't it be totally cool to be able to install ms-dos on a handheld? Especially as it seems that none of my favourite ms-dos games run in winXP anymore.
The PC-engine is already emulated on gp32. And IT'S based on a intel x86 processor, right? Anyone who has the technical knowledge to shed light on this matter?

No, the PC Engine used a HuC6280, and shared no technology with the IBM/PC.

Emulation is possible, it's just a matter of how fast you can do it (i.e. it's impractical). Even emulating the 486 is tough as hell these days.

Fast PC emulation is likely impossible on the GP32.

In answer to topic title.. Yes pc emulation is impossible...
Pcengine is just the name of a system... Also known as the turbograph-16...
Not a computer at all.
This has been discussed before. A Dos emulator would be pretty much impossible..

So it really should have been called the HuC-Engine! Confusing... Anyway I found those older threads. Thanks for replying, and sorry for bringing up the old pain again B)
