I already have GP32BLU and Nintendo DS

PSP or Zodiac or Gizmondo wich one should I buy Next I can't Decide I have $500 Saved

can somebody put up comparison charts up thanks.

ps. I tried a PDA Pocket PC the Dell AXIM X50V and didn't like it.

if you leave the battery out of a PDA or 20 minuts you will lose all your data. and most of the good software you have to pay for. it's eather trialwrae or shareware

How do you get a Web Browser and a Wireless Internet Connection for PSP Like Zodiac

PSP's hardware is amazing. However, I won't get one until I see a better software lineup. The best game for the system is a puzzle game called lumines which costs $40. The next best games are racing games, which aren't that fun IMO. However, if you are planning on playing music and movies on the go and willing to get a 512MB or 1GB memory card, the PSP can play them really well. If you are set on getting one of them, get the PSP, but if I were you I'd save my money.

I reckon the software lineup is one of the best especially for a handheld. Remember the GBA or DS launch games?

well, i just picked up my psp here in the states and i think it's great. sure there's not many genres out and most of them are sports games (this includes racing games) in the future, we'll see lots of rpgs and fighting games just like the ps2 today. I bought wipeout pure and ridge racers and i love them both.

I say GP32 BLU and PSP. The GP32 is better for emus than Zodiac due to the better digital controls etc. The PSP (I just got mine) is an amazing system. The Gizmondo has that tiny 2.8" screen, and I doubt there will be much support for it, where as the PSP has a whopping 4.3" screen!

PSP all the way.

I know 2 people that were going to buy the psp but decided not to when it was released here in the states just recently. But i think my brother is not going to be able to resist and buy it this weekend.Either way,i am way too happy with my Gp32 FLU and Mame32 v1.1 to even care B)

Personally, if i wanted to play Playstation 2 games i'd uh, play my Playstation 2.

Unless the PSP or DS come out with some decent original titles, rather than ports, i wont be picking either one up.

Unless of course the PSP get's hacked which then opens up the possibility of emulation. But fitting a mod chip in that thing would be a massive pain the the arse.

Wipeout = done before, new name
Twisted Metal = done before, new name
NFSU = done before, new name
Ape Escape = done before

I'll give credit to Metal Gear for being different (card based) and Lumines for atleast being a decent puzzler.

I should have been more clear, the device needs some new franchises. Not rehashes of tried and true PS2 games, repackaged under a new name and with a new story thrown into the mix.

I dont personally see the point in laying down my cash for a device which gives me roughly the same gaming experience that i can otherwise have on my PS2.
Atleast the DS is attempting to be different, with it's dual screens and all. Opening up new gaming concepts and making developers approach the development process differently.
However, i've yet to actually see a current or up and coming DS title that really makes some brilliant use of the second touch screen. Warioware did a good job of using it, but even that was just a rehash of the GBA version with some touchscreen elements thrown into the mix.

My biggest problem? New games aren't revolutionary enough. I'm sick of playing the same gameplay over and over and over again, just shifted to a new story with different characters.
I totally agree with what what Warren Spector was getting across at GDC. Publishers are killing creative content by introducing big budgets in order to earn themselves a fortune. You make another big budget game using a gameplay formula which has proven to work in the past, and the publisher walks away with a ton of cash.

Next generation of handhelds and consoles? i'll pass. Unless of course the proposed industry revolution comes and the developers somehow manage to take control of their own content.

I guess the first solution can be that EA goes bankrupt and closes it's doors. But that's like dreaming for a million dollars to rain from the sky.

*rant over*

They've mentioned that with the wifi ability they hope to have a browser soon, sounds like it might be good for surfing the net while walking around the house in your undies... or maybe at starbucks.

Fine but don't say they're ports.

Sorry, I didn't realise you were so pedantic.

But i'll continue saying that they are ports, just to spite you.

It's a funny one. Me and KOTD have already had this debate on another thread.

Both these consoles (PSP DS) are so amazing for us gamers. We have never seen two such consoles released together, IMO. They both have fantastic features. To say that it's just a ps2 is ridiculous- IT'S A PS2 IN YOUR HAND!!!! Imagine the technology that has accomplished that? Amazing.

And the DS? Why, that's two screens, one of which is touch sensitive! That is a hell of a leap for nintendo.

But you are also right, Drewus (?), the games are 'sequels', or continuations. And that is bad. EA is the worst thing to happen to games. They'll bring it all down in the end. Endless maddens and Fifas. Need for speeds. Even the excellent Burnout 3 doesn't sell as many as it should, cos EA is only interested in pushing brands, not the genuinely quality titles it occasionally does make!

Yet my PSP will ship with Wipeout pure and Ridge Racer!!! And I'm really excited about playing them. I am not excited about the DS, yet the most interesting games are there. Dunno why.....

The PSP is just to sexy :D

The PSP has some v. cool hardware, so i´d buy it instantly...AFTER some good homebrew releases. But since it´s very uncertain if, when and how homebrew games will be introduced to the community i´ll go for a Zodiac 1 next week. It has also nice 3D games, maybe not as flashy as the PSP ones, but not bad either.
