Starfox

The Big Wad Bolf.
Hi Folks,

I know there's a good SNES emulator, but one of the games I used to love was Starfox, I'm guessing at the moment any SNES emu can't presently run Starfox as there was extra hardware in the SF cartridge to help with the 3D engine!

Or am I wrong here?

nope, unfortunately your spot on. The SuperFX chip that starfox used will probably never be implemented on the gp32. Sorry.

Star fox on the gp32_console would rock. If it worked and you could stretch it to full screen, is there a Snes emu that can do that?(stretch it to full screen)

I have the original on cart its awesome N64 version is wicked fun too

would be nice to get that chip emulated

Mmmm...
Star Fox 64 :)

The Cube ones are crap! :(

Why did star fox 2 (snes) never come out?
I think you may have answered your own question there.

I loved the multiplayer in 64!!

I was all exited for assault and then... they ruined it

If you can get it, there is a Star Fox 2 beta floating about in the Internet wilderness. Its pretty good too.

Star Fox 2 - This'll clean up the beta and make it a more presentable game. :)

Anyone craving Star Wing should try Panorama Cotton on Megadrive in DrMD. It's got graphics glitches, but it's very playable (and good).

Yeah Starfox 2 on SNES plays pretty good with one of the more recent PC emulators, it reminds me of Star Voyager on the NES a little bit. I really want to check out SF64... but then again maybe I should just stick with what I got and relive the more fond memories.

SF64 is basically an upgrade of the SNES version

Actually, I still play the original Starfox on ZSnes on the PC. It looks kewl on the widescreen TV too!

The game has amazing atmosphere, and I love the way your cute little fluffy team mates get annoyed when you accidentally shoot them "Watch your aim Fox"

As yet I haven't played any of the other starfox games :( .

The Starfoxes for the Cube aren`t that crappy.
Okay, the walking missions in the newest one are, but the flight missions are great, and so is Starfox Adventure, even if it has nearly nothing to do with Starfox on the SNES, but Rare made it really good (and good looking) action-adventure.

Sounds a bit like Ratchet and Clank on the PS2 :D
