Hi,
I just encountered a 2,5 yr old nl unit at an auction site.
The seller says it is overclockable, but not to 166mhz.
The Description says the screen looks used, but the glass should be replaceble.
I read it costs about 7€.
Do you think the Buttons are still ok if it is that old?
I guess the ending price is about 90€.

please reply fast, because the auction will be over soon!

Give me the url and I'll give you my expert opinion on it ;)

Buttons should be ok but who knows, can be replaced easily along with the screen though.

Just paid 150€ for a BLU 160 MHZ with a 128MB SMC so might be worth waiting around for something better for not that much more €€€

BUY IT!!! :D . Thats about half the price of a BLU+, but with the screen replacement. and...no backlight. Hmmm, depends on how much $ u have, and if u already have a GP32. Its always good to have a backup.

Thanks for the reply, but the auction is over.
It was at 65€, and I set my Autobet Agent at 70€.
I would have bought that thing for 66€+7€ shipping BUT the f***ing Program failed.
Never use Software from Metaspinner.de

Crap!
Now i'm really pissed...
I'll never use that kind of software anymore.

still here is the Link:

bye

I would not suggest you to get a nonlit unit, I have one, and I don`t like non lit screens :D

Save some more money, and go buying a BLU or FLU later on.

If it had a backlight I would say go for it. Playing a GP32 with out a back light or front light totally sux. When I turn on the light for by FLU there is no comparison it makes all the difference. I don't care how fast you can it can over clock, if you can't see the screen then there is no point. it's like playing a GameBoy Color with out any back or front light. Look a bit harder or wait and you will be bale to get a FLU or BLU or eBay, or look at the marketplace forums here.

it does not totally suck, i've had my NLU for almost 2 years and the only reason why i bought a flu is so i can play games in bed. The NLU have a great screen that reflect light very well so even in crappy lighting you can still see the screen. Yes your probably better with a BLU, but if you want a GP32 and you can only afford a NLU, then don't hesitate to buy one, you won't be disappointed.

hmm i want to sell my gp32 too,,
nlu unit.. but i would sell it for 60€ + 64MB SMC
problem.. battery cover is broken :-/
so i someone needs another gp32 for testing or something
i would go down with the prize (then without the smc)
PS: its overclockable to 150 (not that stable, depends on program) and 145/140 stable

You do realise that the Gameboy Color never had any back or front light.
Neither did the first model of GBA.

Anyone selling a NLU in the states for cheap?

I have 2 non-lit GP32s. If the price was right, I might consider selling one of them. Though, I'm not sure that qualifies as "cheap."

I also have the following items that I'd sell:
2 wireless link cables (Like These)
2 Chatboards
1 Homemade GP32 Worm Light
2 128M SmartMedia cards

If you like any of that stuff, make an offer.
