I thought I would throw in my 'two cents' on GBAx.

I have heard many good things about them, so don't look too much into this. However, I have been waiting over two weeks for my GP32 which the website said would get to me 'the next day'.

They have been very slow in responding to emails and very unhelpful with regards to an estimate for the expected delivery day. I keep getting told things along the lines of 'any day now' but there seems to be a problem delaying my order again and again.

Other users here have been saying that they are possibly being snowed under by demand for the DS and PSP, but a little honesty to their customers and a note on the website stating 'Expect delivery in 2-4 weeks' instead of '24 hour delivery' would not have been too difficult.

As I could not find an alternative shop in the UK, I cannot complain too much. I am simply miffed that I have been waiting so long for something that was meant to be a birthday present!

Sorry for the double-post but I thought it would be worth me saying that at the time of me writing this, their website still says that the GP32 is 'In Stock' when it hasn't been for quite some time.

I had good service and response from GBAX, and I also appreciate their implication in the "community".
But. My 160 Mhz certified gp32_console crashes at 156 :( ... so that is not so nice..

What was you running at 156 when your GP32 crashed ?.

Maybe they are having trouble getting them from Gamepark. But I do agree that if they don't have any they should remove "in stock" from their site as it would be false.

I'm pretty sure that you have a case to ask for a replacement if it says it works at 160Mhz but really doesn't. GBAX are generally pretty good at that kind of thing (or at least, they used to be).

I bought my Gp32 160 from GBAX and it arrived next day and it clocks upto 166 in DRMD so I am very happy - I hope that your unit arrives soon - I would be a shame to spoil the good rep they have....

fingers crossed :)

considering how far those things have to come to get to the states and the difficulty at getting them from gamepark a little lee way should be expected, don't worry yours will arrive, gbax as far as my knowledge has never jipped anyone.

This definatly doesn't sound like gbax's usual way of service. Perhaps it's not thier fault, sometimes things can go very wrong in the postal service, I've experienced it.

Its nothing to do with postage, they are telling me that there are issues with the supplier. Then I am told there are issues with the 166 modification.

Then I am told to wait a few more days... then no contact at all.

I live in the UK, so it doesn't have to come very far when they have posted it. I probably wouldn't have said anything, but money came out of my account immediately and in my years of shopping online, that doesn't usually happen until the item is ready to be shipped.

You don't go to the supermarket (mall), hand over cash and wait a month for your groceries to arrive! ;)

Hey i have brought two gp32's from gbax and two DS's. For my first gp32 they bent over backwards to help me get it! If the ysay that the is a problem the nthere is. Can you to the Volage Modification? If yes then tell them you will do it and get them to send a normal one for you.

Edit all mine arrived about 16 hours after ordering aswell :)

Sam, the whole point of me ordering from them was because I can't do it myself. That is part of their service.

A service I have already paid for and have yet to see any return for it :(

I'd like to hear from people that have tried ordering from the recently. I know another user on this forum, lizrd_king, has been having the same problems as me

Hey, i experienced great service from gbax.com
My GP32 BLU i orderd (in october i tihnk it was, maybe september was delayed a little bit due to throubles with the 166 Mods) took 1-2 weeks to arrive for this reason.
dont worry about it, it will arrive soon, they are honest people B)

Well I must admit that all of these positive posts are putting my mind at ease a little... it seems like they are simply having a bad couple of weeks.

I still feel some mention of this problem could have been mentioned on their website. They are still updating regularly but there is no mention of the issue.

I would call this dishonest.

I guess there is nothing I can do now but wait!

I ordered a gp32 of them many months back and it came next day and no probs with it, I ordered another handheld wednesday with 2 games and a memory card, all came next day except game and mem card so phoned them up and with no questions they said theyd send items that day, they came next day too, if that isnt good service i dont know what is

Gotta add ma two penneth worth (?).

Yes, they should update their site, if it says it is in stock and it isn't, then that ain't too good.

But I like many others had nothing but excellent service from GBAx. If the unit was in stock, then you would have had it as soon as poss-that I have no doubt. You must remember that that are not ordering some mass made object. The GP32 is sourced from Korea, and it seems not too many are being made now. You have said (I think) that you could only order it from GBAx, Lik sang don't have it etc., therefore you know it is hard to get hold if.

Doesn't excuse bad customer service though. But another point is that if they are rushed off their feet selling psps then at least they are making money, which keeps the business alive and helps Craig keep helping gp32x.de-which is a good thing!

Really, the bottom line is that GBAx are clearly trustworthy, and that they are having problems getting hold of your GP32. I'm sure they will get it, and when they do you will be thrilled to bits!

:D

I got my GP32 166Mhz from GBAX too, and sure enough i got it the next day, i thought thier service was really pretty good. I'm used to stuff i order not actually arriving the next day even if its advertised as doing so, so it was very pleasant to see it arrive so soon. You'll be fine, it sounds as if they are having some honest probs.
