I had good service and response from GBAX, and I also appreciate their implication in the "community".
But. My 160 Mhz certified  gp32_console crashes at 156  :(  ... so that is not so nice..

What was you running at 156 when your GP32 crashed ?.

Trooper
Yesn at 156 (GPengine) it crashed after a small ten minutes. At 160 with DrMD (sound on), it crashed (frose or rebooted) systematicaly after a couple of minutes..

I absolutely trust the good folks over at GBAX, but my unit is a bit deceiving.. It's of course still nice and all, but it's disturbing that it's "imperfect"..
Don't know if its worth the mess of sending it back and such, but it's.. slightly deceiving..

Wow, you even have it as your sig. I suggest you stop whining and take some action by asking them to replace it. If they don't, then you definitely have cause for complaint, but at the moment it's just whining.

I thought I would throw in my 'two cents' on GBAx.

ordered a 166 (+ other stuff) on a sunday, e-mail on monday saying none in stock, would i wait 3-5 days or have a 160. i asked for 160 and it came midweek. due to cock-up at Gbax.com end, the rest of my order did not turn up until the following tuesday.

that aside, i will still buy from them again.

It's slightly whining, but if I contacted them to get it replaced; I would be without a GP for a month (got it last week) -and- pay port. It's not like there are any nice options, so yes, I'm dissatisfied.
In the meantime of choosing, I whine.

If you have a problem with it get it replaced by them. They WILL replace it. If you aren't going to have it replaced by them take that out of your sig, it's pointless. That or change it to "My GBAX 160mhz guarenteed GP32 crashes at 160mhz, if I asked they would replace it but I don't want to go through the trouble."

ive had no problems with them at all.

Although I did ask like twice in two months to see if their Treamcasts were actually in stock as the website said and both times they said they would be in Friday hehe

Im very happy with my 166 i bought from there.

they will refund the postage. They replaced my blu just because the joystick did not clock. That is how niec they are. So i decided to buy 2 ds's from them. One has developed a fault but thats due to bad manufacture by ninty.

:p :p It's not like I whine about my one dead pixel on my PSP, that just happens to be in the CENTRE of the screen, and that I stupidly bought it from a guy in Japan, instead of GBAx, and that to send it back would be SO much trouble, now that is something to moan about, mumble grumble....

BTW, cos I'm to lazy to tread through the search function, and cos you are all feeling sorry for me, just tell me ONE good adventure game for DRmd, cos I'm bored of racing games on the psp.

I love going off topic, capitals and being flamed!!!

:p

GBAx have posted on the site that they are waiting for the GP32 166 to arrive so a little patience is required.

Myself i can say that i hold GBAx in the highest regard and throughly happy with the service and ive spent rather a lot at the store and all the stuff has been brilliant.

I've had no problems with gbax, they've even sent out a replacement gp32 to me in the past when it didn't clock past 132Mhz. That was at the time when there were no guarantees on clockspeed. Basically, I had received what I had ordered but they still sent out another gp32 none the less. It's a great setup and these days it's not often that you get to email directly to the main person and for them to give you a one on one reply. That's what you get with gbax.

I ordered a BLU from them when they first came out. It had a dead pixel so they replaced the dodgy one very fast and even paid the return shipping, and I am in the US. It is very unusual that they would do this, it doesn't make sense. Usually Craig comes on this board alot too but haven't seen him for awhile. They must be very busy or maybe he is on holiday or something. It is strange as they are usually very good.

I agree their service is good. I corresponded a bit by mail with them, the order had to be changed. All well. But as much as I respect them (and their implication to the "community" as previously mentionned) I did get a GP that was "certified" and did -not- live up to the certification. This certif is not Gameparks fault, but GBAXs.
And It sucks for me.
So I'm unhappy.

Bought my 166mh FLU from GBAX and it developed a fault with the light so I sent it back and they replaced it with a BLU!

Now thats what I call service.

Hang tight dude, your unit will be with you as soon as they get them im sure.

So they post about the shortages two weeks after they knew about it. That's not really good enough to be honest.

With all due respect to people that have had good experiences with them, reading through this thread shows only about 75% of you are completely happy with your transaction.

Considering the small range of items they sell, that's not a great track record. I wouldn't buy from an eBay user with 75% feedback (elitist? maybe).

I think its more a case of there being no alternative than being 'the best' and its a shame as I think I would have shopped elsewhere.

Having problems getting stock is fine, its lying about your stock that gets to me.
