When i try to remove voice streams from a audio file i got i fail. Any1 know how to keep the background music in a mp3, without the volcals in it? Like they do on American Idol.

Ya i heard theres some software you can dl to remove it quickly but i cant find any on google. Or At The local store *cough* (means bittorent).

It's possible on some tracks, but only because they place the vocals on both the left and right channels, so you just have to remove the stereo'd vocals.

Try goldwave. Some files i've ran through it's vocal remover have had some margin of success. Otherwise you'll need an instrumental version of the song (which is what they actuallly do on Simon Cowell's many and completely identical tv shows)

Um... it's not that hard, depending on the quality you want. I did it with CoolEdit Pro 2.0 several times. I don't think you can buy the program anymore though, and searching it via eDonkey, then downloading, would of course be illegal, so don't do it. Eventhough there is a working version with serial and crack available. Still illegal. Don't do it. Yadda.

Does it have a option like vocal remover? ^^

That'd be sweet

Effects -> Amplitude -> Channel Mixer -> Vocal Cut

As this is an automatic process, don't expect Karaoke Quality. Worth a try though.
