Great Free Audio Recording Program

Well, I'm just gonna post this here cause I'm not sure if this can be considered in general talk(could be used for SmashGP)

anyway, here is a great audio free audio recording program. It can record from the line in jack on your computer as expected but it can also record directly from what you computer is playing through you speakers. This could be used to capture sound clips from emulators or turn background music from an SNES game into an MP3 file.

just thought I'd post it in case any anyone wants to use it (I remember someone in a smashGP thread saying they recorded sounds by pluggina in a cable between they're speacker out and mike in jacks, this'll be a little easier :rolleyes: )

My personal fave sampler is Cool Edit, Unfortunately Cool Edit is no longer available as they were bought out. I still use it on my audio PC, excelent for sampling, editing, cleaning up samples etc. It can even use direct X plugins such as Compressors or Vocoders etc. really fun!
