I've been looking into getting something that will let me watch TV on my laptop and record straight onto my hard drive, and really it needs to be USB.

Anyone have any recomendations, and a good place to get them?

I used to have a win-tv usb tvcard/adaptor, I sold it a while back as i found it almost impossible to get a good reception on any station even though i live in london. I tried a standard (booster) tv aerial (the type you put on top of your household tv, Big) without much of an improvement. Anyway, I ended up getting one of thoughs telescopic fold-up booster aerials (Being alot more portable than the standard one), But gave up after a while and sold it. I now just download/copy over whatever i want to watch in divx or mpeg format now.

You may have better luck than i did though. :)

I have a TV turner that I use in my Desktop
ATI TV Turner VE PCI

it works pretty good only watched TV on an atena once but I play videogames sometimes too

so search for like laptop TV Turner or somethign I guess

ugh your not in the US well that will give you some products atleast to search for

I have a V-stream DVB digital card for my desktop. It has the five channels and also freeview, which is nice. The reception for freeview is not the best though and I generally have to use a roof aerial to get perfect reception.

There is also a USB version.

btw- the software it uses (for TV and recording) is pretty awful, but there are newer versions on the internet somewhere.

Yeah I just LOVE changing the Temporal Comb and TomsMoComp settings about sixty times a day to eliminate the dot crawl!
