I only came across the GP2x when Lik-Sang e-mailed me, then I looked for info on it and found this site and i was hooked!!! Its a great community...one big happy family!

hey people my names Matt and im from moron in the UK, great forum this one which only got better when i recieved my GP2X :)
Happpy days

another good question is how you heard about the gp2x, or even the gp32 :D

for me, i was looking at joystick converters at lik-sang so i could use an snes pad on my pc (friggin brilliant) and noticed the gp2x banner which says: "EMULATION HANDHELD". words like that draw my eye and i got sucked in like all the rest of us.

I been following the GP32 for ages i was gona buy a GP32 Blu but it seemed a little bit under powered and it only had 2 buttons on the front of it.
Then the GP2X came out and i thought lovely i'll have one of those and very nice it is to :)

I found out and got interested in the GP2X... long and boring story!

When going round import sites looking to import DS, I found Lik-Sang. Whilst there, I noticed an interesting looking handheld called the GP32... at the time of course, my money was already targeted for DS, so I didn't really want to buy gp32. Also, when looking around for emulation resources, I kept running into sites largely focussed on emulation on GP32 (this site might well have been one of them). I pretty much forgot about actually buying one, but kept finding references to it. Recently though, someone posted a topic about GP2X on the ZDoom forums. They linked to gp2x.co.uk. I read about the gp2x and really liked the sound of it. And so here I am :)

I red about the GP2X in a newspaper's media section a month ago...
went to the site (gbax) looked some up using google and voila, i got very very interested and ordered one as soon as i had the money for it...
never had a handheld before, but this one can make up for alll the damage ;)

EDIT: spelling

Me... 27, male, Maastricht, the Netherlands...
Originally heard about the GP32 from a friend who found it browsing liksang, and ordered it from there. Then another friend told me about the GP2X about a month or so ago... Still not sure on wether to order one though because I'm planning to get a PDA (one with a full keyboard and powerful enough for emulators I'd reckon, one of the HTC Universal variants if anyone knows it) and I doubt I'd be carrying around two handheld devices (and then the pda would win for having more serious purposes as well as entertaining me).
Btw, if you want to get an idea of where gp32/gp2x owners are located, check this out (also linked to from the GP32X frontpage)
