Blasphemy! How could you destroy yer old GP32 :(
I hope you used spare parts >

i have no spare parts :D

but it should still work on the GP32 (i added a little piece of compressed-air duster pipe inside, i can remove it :D ) and there are spare parts on liksang if i wanna renew my GP32 anyway ;)

it won't solve the deadzone "problem" some are whining about.

it sure doesn't ! it's actually making it worse since it's a bit higher :D

but i have a very dry skin and i absolutely can't use the original stick, too slippery, so it's MUCH better for me :D

but i found that in "real situation" i use only the left bump of the GP32's stick (as on the picture :D ) , and technically the movements i need to do for that are not much different than when using a 1,5cm wide cross ! :)

i was hesitating about making it shorter or not, but this last discover makes me think i'll keep it like this :p

Cool mod! Im going to do one using an old N64 control pad as soon as I can be bothered not sure if its gonna be worth it though. Might have a look round some second hand shops see what other controls pads I can find aswell. :D

i don't think you needed to destroy your gp32... lik sang says they have replacement gp32 sticks that they're selling for like 2 usd.

cool regardless, i don't dig the difference in look, but hey, if it works, it works :)

mhh yes! I was thinking about using a GCN analogue instead, it has nice rubber on it, no hard plastic. However I guess it will look awkward and I'm not sure if I should kill a GCN pad just now.....

-Oh wait.. I still have a dead n64 one *remembers* ok Stick, you're done for!

yup, i'm thinking about buying a dozen to continue my mad experiments :D

the problem with N64, xbox, ngc etc pads is that they are not on a shaft, you have to work on them more than one who is just pinned on something, also be careful about their diameter, i had to cut the GP32's one a bit at the base or there's no contact on the microswitches ;)

it also looks like you could've cut a few mm off the bottom of the stick, as it stands up pretty tall.

the n64 superpad stick is on a metal rod, i ahve a busted one so i will certianly look into it later today

take the rubber skin off a dual-shock playstation controller and put it over the knob, i did that with my N64 controllers, the stick on the N64 pads where horrendous in button-mash games, they would give you blisters, so i took the rubber top/skin off my psx dual shock pad and put it on there

(i dont think it was an official dual shock pad though)

kidt looked at my superpad, its got a plastic concave stick that almost fits on the 2x, a tiny bit of modding and it will fit quite comfortablely, feels pretty good too, concave!
