Good news, classic PC (not only!) game 'Another World' (called also 'Out of this World' elsewhere) is out for GP2X! it has no sound yet but it works (I was able to play it to some extent, I haven't finished it, README file says it is probably impossible at this development stage).

Files are here: Another World for gp2x. You need to get the original game files, they are available for free, google for it.

Right now the game asks for entering codes before starting, the codes are available on the Web but wouldn't it be better to get rid of them totally? on the road I don't want to carry the printouts with me... :p

How are you going to start a game half way through without the code, or are you intending to play all the way through Ghosts and Goblins style?

Anotherworld was released for the Megadrive too, I remember playing it as a kid too. Great game, though when DRMD will play the megadrive version I see little point for this :( . But saying that; development is always good :D .

I think he means the copy protection code wheel to start the game, no worky without it.

Saxton_boy, the MegaDrive version is pure crap, I played both on my laptop and the Genesis version is much worse, why emulate a ported version when you can just play a ported version, seems retarded to me.

OK., let me clarify: by "codes" I mean the "anti-pirate" procedure when the game is started, not the codes for the subsequent levels of the game.

One of the comments on German GP2x forum says that the version of Another World for earlier console (GP32) was offered "for free" by the author of the game, thus contains no codes (look . I hope that the same will happend here :).
