Im gonna get a GP2X but i got a Giz aswell , the one thing u people forget is that if giz goes homebrew it will emulate far more machoines than the GP2X does as the Giz is way more powerfull :)
Emulate far more machines? It's not that more powerful that it can compensate for the lack of developers.

The Giz has a 400Mhz ARM9 processor, and WinCE hogging the processor, so the GP2X may be just as good :) It's true the Giz also has a 3d processor, but considering the fact that no PSP emulators use the 3d chip, and that there's a hell of a lot more developers for the PSP, it basically means that the Giz has roughly a zero percent chance.

It doesn't look very good for homebrew on the Giz - it's locked down too well. Possibly a jtag hack is all that is available - and how many people are going to want to solder wires to there Giz's innards to run homebrew?

it looks more and more like the gpx2 will be the devvers system of choice and will hopefully lure a few of the psp devvers our way as sony are doing their best to lock the psp out.

Well it does look like the GP2X is gonna be the best handheld system to play homebrew on, lets hope it gets released soon :)
