Whhyyyy doesn't GamePark gives us better media player support one of the selling point of the gp2x is its ability to play unconverted video files

Very few handhelds offer this capability if they want to sell units it aint going to be by the games available as emulators are a grey area legally it will obviously be a bonus for the tech minded user if they wish to pursue it.

As a media playing devices gp2x could be second to none in terms of ease of playback you drop the file on sd and there you go, the ability to playback on TV screen is also a added bonus as very few handhelds apart from latest ipod offer this function.

They want to be succesful then update the firmware with media playback in mind a camera addon with firmware support will bolster the gp2x as a media device it has the hardware to support it so why not, the price point the gp2x sells at is very competive similary priced media devices have nothing on the gp2x.

I know there are a loads of devices in east asia with simliar hardware and capabilities but have any of those devices have a dedcicated user base in Europe and America

Gamepark is a small company but it has has a BIG HEART across alot of countries

Bolster the media playback capabilities sort out the USB mass storage drivers, pretty pictures aint gonna do shit

ehm, it already plays files quite okay with firmware 2.1.

and as for emulators, i dont see how those arent legal, its not like gamepark distributes the GAMES themselves, software emulating hardware is not illegal.

what? usb mass storage works perfect on the gp2x. if you mean problems connecting it to windows, then you have to look at redmond for the cause, the gp2x uses linux's gadget driver, which adheres quite very strictly to the specification, which it seems windows has trouble with.
