Spot the terrible pun.

Febuary is Resident Evil:DS's launch date, and if it's anything like RE4, it should be great. You can even slash zombies with your stylus!

IGN Says:

"A remake of the first Resident Evil game with the DS's unique feature set in mind as you work your way through the now classic storyline involving Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield and that well-known mansion that introduced the world to Resident Evil back in 1996. Zombies are now smarter and actually work their way around doors as they chase after you. You'll find that there's no solace in a room that you think you've completely freed from zombie infestation.

Whereas the original game focused more on puzzle solving, the new version's "rebirth mode" design places a heavy emphasis on action with more enemies and ammo. Also, nearly half the puzzles have been freshly upgraded providing new challenges for fans. The DS's special features are being put to use in the remake as well, as you use the touchpad to solve puzzles and slash at zombies. Also featured are 2-4 player wireless mode (in Co-Op and VS challenges)."

Some of it seems to be in full Three Dimentions, and some of it seems to have returned to the pre-made backround of before, unfortunately.

So, anybody going to be buying this? I know if it's any good I will.

I wonder why they bothered releasing that one...

Resident Evil Deadly silence is just resident evil 1...

They've released it on the PSX and the Gamecube allready...

If you want to play that game it's probably cheaper to buy a PSX and Resident Evil 1 than that game alone on the DS

I think it's quite a good idea. Been milked a bit though. It's to celibrate a 10 year aniversiary of Resident Evil or something. It'll find it's way onto my flashcart quite quickly :)

Sounds interesting. Ill definitly pick it up if I hear it's any good, but im not going to do like my friends do and run to buy it the hour it's released. I hope it's decent

i don't see this having the same effect on a portable. i'd rather have it on a large tv.

I want to know how many people that have never played resident evil, any of them, get scared and drop and break their DS when a zombie comes busting out of somewhere.

lol that would be priceless. And I guarantee it wont get a M rating, thus making some parents think it's suitable for their 6 yr old (soccer moms), and when the kid has nightmares for a month, the parents will wonder why

I've always hated the dumb control scheme that most of RE games have. Push up to go forward and left and right to turn is so 90s and only good for FPS. Unless they FIX it, it's a pass to me.

well I stand corrected. You can blame me for thinking that. After all, it would be the 1st M title for the ds, let alone one of like 10 for the cube, gb, and ds combined

Drop and break their DS? Where are they dropping it from? 10 floors up?

It's gotta be M, You;re gutting freaking zombies man. Blood, corpses, Mutants. It's not going to be scary at all but it will still be violent.

My only gripe is why use the old graphics?? I mean you have a perfectly good remake on your own console to rip back grounds from! I mean the original with all the bad acting is a classic but this? Bad Choice!

No, sorry, there was this japanese hentai game that was banned from being sold, so very few copies are around. That was rated Ao, which is M+. lol.

Strangely I cant find anything on this supposed game unless you're refering to Lapis which was never actually "made" so much as designed and shown to a limited audiance but was never intended for sale so there are no copies of it in the normal sense.

If you're refering to the Tecmo slot machine game Featureing the character "Rio", it dosent seem to be really pornographic just racy.... but looking further there seems to be a gambling game called Rio De carnival which features a live action woman (dressed as the Rio character) who I could swear is a famous japanese adult movie star... that I've heard of... and the site apparently requires you to sign up to log into it... the sign up is in japanese, I COULD figure it out but I'm not that pressed to do so.

as i don't have a gp2x anymore( <- traitor), i wanna pick up a DS bad.
