Mame. Cant Insert Coins!

i press select but coin count doesnt go up - the button works fine though.....

anyone ?

also, arkanoid doesnt work - it says "bad hardware"

Roms - loads
Working - none!

i'll maybe try an older version - it was working at some point, i just cant remember when it stopped working.

i have just done the clrmame thing and put on the latest mame version but it was working before then.

Perhaps check the control configuration (Not sure if it's in there, but it's worth a shot?).

I'm using the latest mame version with no problems here

make sure you push the joystick up and press select. But sometimes I noticed that it did not work. so hold the jobstick up and 'double press' the select button rapidly. That always worked for me.

I thought it was just select for coins, that's what I've been using and it works fine.
