Gngeo Memory Issues

Is it because of Linux that GNGeo cannot play certain very large ROMs? Will this issue go away with HH potentially? Will ripping out the sound help or will the files still be too big for the available RAM?
 
the last release of Gngeo read large rom... You have to dump the gfx part.
And it will stream the gfx from your Sdcard (hope you have a fast one).

It run well... all explained in the README.
 
No, it reads the file as a stream, so size no longer matters. The gfx format makes it so we don't have to load the entire thing into memory.

Just try blazing star, or kof2000 or something and see!!!

If you don't enable sound then the sound roms are not loaded anyway.
