I need a suggestions for a project do this summer.
I have some experience with electronics so I can solder and all of that crap

-I'd rather it not cost too much
-I want to make something physical (no I'm not coding a GBA emulator)
-I want something that has to do with video games.

Build a working telephone from 2 cereal boxes, some pencil leads, some aluminum foil, a battery and some wire ...

No, really ... I did this for a project about, oh ... (*crunches math using a super-computer*) .. 25-ish years ago.

You'll get an A ... trust me .. oh, what does it have to do with video games? Um .... really, really slow online capability?

why don't you take an old console and turn it into a portable? I have seen some great attempts taken at making handheld nes's. They seem to be easy to mod. Or you could try and make your own compact flash reading flash cart for a console. People have done it for gba and for megadrive... I think also for snes but I am not sure...
