What settings should I change for my Inno3D Geforce 4 Ti 4200 128mb DDR Tornado to fire out more FPS ??? I have the latest Nvidia Drivers installed...

THanks

I`m not using the latest drivers, But do have an msi Geforce Ti 4200. Bloody great card. :)
I paid £116 for mine from ebuyer 9 months to a year ago, Does everything i need.
Anyway, These are the settings i use.

Hope this is what you are looking for.

Btw, I do not overclock my card (don`t see the need, For an extra 1/2 fps) so i have the drivers that do not have the option in it to overclock.

I get about 10,500 in 3Dmarks 2000 and about 6,500 in 3Dmarks 2001 for the curious :p .

Before all you Radion and GF FX card owners start blabbing about i get 100,000 + blab blab etc. This threads about the GF Ti4200 ;) and as i have said, It does what i need.

Good choice Steve-O, You won`t be disappointed.

I have also found the 4200 more than enough for HL2, Call of Duty, UT2004 and Far Cry. In fact it runs UT2003 at more or less full settings at a decent resolution.

trooper, thanks to your info, I realised my settings were on quality and not performance in DirectX and general. Although I doubt it will make much of a difference, I will change it.

...likewise, thanks Trooper, I've never much fiddled with the settings but those look good.

BTW Has anyone played recently the Doom3 beta, I know its old now but there's a beta2 out, basically making it run a lot easier and a few homemade (I think) levels added.

...Runs surprisingly well on my machine (ti4200 + 1600XP) Most of the game is really smooth but goes jumpy ocasionally.

Fucking scary though and the best Graphics you'll see on your PC. Amazing when you think this was first leaked almost 2 years ago now.

...Don't forget to turn the lights off :p

I also have a msi geforce 4 Ti 4200 and i tried your settings and i must say they are awful(if you are gaming) my counterstrike looked like shit, everything was all blury and crap. but it was fast :)
i put it back on quality and ran ut2k3 with everything set on high. it ran smooth like ice cream :)

yup, we are set for next generation gaming!

mipmap settings do make things horribly blurry on the performance setting, best to use blend.

if any of you 3D gamers want a run for your money on UT2004 - bring it on

Exactly the same spec as me. A friend told me it's struggling due to the slow speed of my motherboard (266) and the slow SD ram (133) I have.
