Is Fgb32 The Best Gbc Emu?

Yes, it's fGB. GPvGB is also very good but does not have as high compatability rate and does not have save states (but does support in game saves). fGB is sometimes a little too fast with older Gameboy games.

Not if you change the frameskip settings.

u cant use frameskip to slow i down..... although i think there may be a framerate limiter or sumthin that stops itgoing over 60. i never use this emu.

pff, just make full screen and frameskip 0 and speed is almost perfect in most games.

btw, the source is avaible, anyone...?

There's an option(s) in the menu (too lazy atm to look for it, I don't even have it on my gp32) that when it is enabled, won't cause games to run too fast and so everything will run at full speed (I remember encountering the same problem as you guys when I first tried it but after changing some settings, it was perfect).

Too solve the too fast thing, just put f/s on 0 or 1 and put synchronization to accurate. But personally, the too fast things comes in handy in games like pokemon. ;)

I prefer it too for some games - and in particular for 'Bomb Jack'. On fGB it is too fast and if you try the sychronisation options it just ends up too slow (particularly the end of level bits).

what do you mean can u only play one game. it can play most games ivetried. And if u mean one game at a time, why would u want to play more than that.

He may be refering to the whole "If you change the game - you will trash the SRAM for the previos game"-problem.

You can ofcause always work around it by using save-states instead.

I'm not sure why people have a problem with FGB going to fast. Stretch the screen and fs 0 and its just under 100% full speed usually. I like fgb just needs some more compatibility and it will be perfect.

i mean can you switch between games in fgb? I remember reading something like you can only play one game with fgb32 at a time

You can switch between games, but - as I mentioned previously - the emulator seems to have some kind of bug that makes the saves (not save-states) reset - if you switch the game...

I.E. you will be able to say have a game of Tetris DX and it WILL remember your profile, hiscores and so forth... When you reset you GP32 and return to play Tetris DX it will still have the same profiles and hiscores...

And you can keep doing that.... but if you suddently decides to play Mario, it seems to wipe whatever Tetris DX has saved. It does however leave a lot of save-files on the SMC.

Ofcause this is not supposed to happen... It's a bug... but you can get around it by using save-states instead... Unfortunently I don't think I can explain this to my parents.

I just experienced that while playing pokemon crystal then switcjing to pokemon pinball... Shoot, my lvl 30 croconaw... :(

Actually u lose save states in fgb if u stick like 10 games on and save with them AND than either delete or add more games and do a scan. This stuffs up the file structure and you lose your save states. So if your going to use save states choose which games ur going to play put them on the smc and finish them before deleting or putting on new ones :)
