Hi. Im looking at my GP and im thinking omfg the screen is scratched to death; so Im thinking of sending it to mashmods. How much would this cost (altogether) from the UK and how much would it cost?

Its $6 shipping and $11 for the screen replacement mod, + whatever you pay to ship it to mash. (or you can order the screen for $6.50 including shipping and do it yourself.)

If your GP32 cant goto 166mhz, I suggest adding $15 more to the grand total, and sending it in to get the voltage mod while its there.

Mine had the screen replaced and voltage mod done to it, and was shipped back to me today! So im just waiting impatient like for it to get here.

I would do the screen mod yourself dude
its easy, I have practiced it with my normal screen amd will get a glass one soon

The screen from MashMods.com is quite thick

It is slightly thicker than the original screen
Says there its only slightly thicker than the original screen.
Even if it was 2x the thickness, does it really matter? So your Little Gray screen cover will sit slightly higher than it normally does. If thats the trade off for a much clearer easy to clean, scratch resistant screen, then its more than worth it.

I think it'd have to depend on how far up it sticks, if it's rased to a point where some people accidentally snag it on their pocket or something it might be a problem... not for all people of course, but some arnt as coordinated! :p

Anyone have a picture comparison of the plastic and glass screens after installation?

From the looks the screenshots, it looks about 25% thicker than the original (which is a VERY TINY amount). Something so small that you would have to measure with Digital Caliper to see the difference.

The Gray thing on the GP32 is already raised, how is 1/32nd of an inch going to make any real world difference?

I only mention it because some people seem to notice the differance after the change.

Never really seen any but I'd think if there were more avalible pictures of the before and after people would worry less if it;s really that minor. maybe we can put ot a call for a couple of pics if Mash dosent already have some on his site... *takes a look*

Edit:
Unfortunatly he only seems to have thetutorial pics, and no pics of it completed...

i bought it and i tried to put it on, it pushes it up a significant amount, doesnt matter thoguht, gonna send it to them and let them do voltage mod and some other stuff, i think thats quite off subject.
