    Genemu..... You wanted it?

Very nice initial release. I was surprized by how good the speed is coming so far. Hopefully we can look forward to more updates to this emu.

    confusion

Umm...sure, I'll take that. You code and release one, and I'll play it.

Is the GP32 Screen in the FLU Version darker?

The screens on the FLU versions are definitely darker. I went through two of them before switching to a regular unit due to all the dust problems. The regular unit is much more viewable than an FLU with the light off.

    Vertical Scanlines

Thanks. I had guessed I could probably chalk it up to some programs just inherently having scanlines but wanted to be sure just in case. I actually haven't even noticed scanlines for low batteries on anything except (I think) SMS32.

    Vertical Scanlines

What I was kind of wanting to know is whether everyone gets them in one of those specific programs in the same places. BTW, my crap FLUs came from Entware, though I don't see what the difference would be.

    Vertical Scanlines

After going through two FLU model GP32s, I came to the conclusion that the low build quality just isn't worth the trouble of monkeying with them. So I finally exchanged the second for a regular unit. I have noticed vertical scanlines on multiple programs. I know this has been mentioned before as...

    fSMS released

Looks like this emu is making nice progress. The sound and save state functions are a definite improvement over SMS32. We have another great SMS emu to look forward to. It seems as if speed is still a slight issue at this point, though. Through toggling the vsync and double buffer video options...

    Flu worth it?

I fully agree with this post. I had an FLU from the first batch, and within 2-3 weeks there was a ton of dust built up in it. I exchanged it in June for a new one, and the new unit turned out to be even worse. There was dust on the inside from the beginning and it built up even faster than in...

    Movie Park

I've always been an advocate of responsible piracy. If it's gone for a reasonable amount of time and a new version dosen't appear to be in the works, why not use it for free? Of course the best thing that could happen would be for a superior free player to be developed. Xvid would be an obvious...

    GBA emulator

The GBA is a very difficult system for the GP32 to emulate because Nintendo uses a set of patented "magic gnome" chips as part of the hardware. These chips actually have colonies of microscopic gnomes living within them. The gnomes work at special factories throughout the chip flipping switches...

    GP32 Games

GP Fight is actually a bit of a clone of one of the Kunio games. I can't think of the title off hand, but it was one of the multiplayer NES ones. Same exact theme of just beating the crap out of each other with whatever you can find laying around and weird obstacle courses.

    GP32 prototype for sale

Bah, ebay has been cracking down on any video game prototypes since a company (I forget who) complained a few months ago about a proto of something being sold. Now they take down every single prototype video game item. All the way back through the NES and Atari 2600. It's been a real pain in the...

    Moviepark Closing

Well, this kind of cans the whole concept of Moviepark being the standard movie player for the system. Let's hope an amateur developer comes up with another stable player.....

    Entware

You know, it seemed as if my experience was not consistent with people claiming the regular screen was way better than that of a GBA. Maybe this is why. At first it also seemed as if the colors were darker on my second unit but I shrugged it off as my imagination. Either way I think I'll be much...

    Entware

I don't see myself suggesting their GP32s are more defective than anyone else's in my post. I'm just saying the FLU models in general are low quality in my experience. I never accused Craig of being shady either. The same can't be said for all the Hong Kong sellers offering GP32s out there, though.
