    I believe so.

    Ommpc2x V0.1.2

The easiest way to handle pls files is for ommpc to extract the URLs (or filenames, as the case may be) from the file and just add them to mpd's current playlist. That's what I did for a similar project (The Emacs MultiMedia System). No need to patch mpd.

    Ommpc2x V0.1.2

Ah, excellent! Thanks for merging in my patches :^) . Can you push the new version to the subversion repo so that I can track it?

    Ommpc2x V. 0.1.1

Hi Coder_TimT -- I'm the guy who sent in the "resume playback on start" patch.

GP2X Interest In Mpd-based Music Player For Gp2x?

Yes. It depends on what they use for sound drivers on the GP2X. If it's ALSA, it would be possible to mix the sound from different sources using dmix. But that's not really the point of playing sound in the background. I don't particularly care. It's just a built-in nicety of MPD...

GP2X Interest In Mpd-based Music Player For Gp2x?

Meh, Hedgehog isn't Common Lisp compatible like I thought it was. CLisp might be doable.

Gmu Gp2x Music Player V0.3.0 Released

Actually, I've been thinking about making an MPD port+frontend for the GP2X. Haven't yet decided whether to invest the time, though. More details are available here.

GP2X Interest In Mpd-based Music Player For Gp2x?

Is anyone interested in seeing a music player for the GP2X that works with MusicPD? I've been kicking around the idea of porting my Emacs Lisp front-end for MPD (emms-player-mpd.el, part of EMMS) to Common Lisp, and using some lightweight Common Lisp implementation (like Hedgehog) to run it on...

    Squidgsnes Not Saving

I notice that sometimes just after saving, the screen will appear blank with just the SNES border on the screen briefly, and then go back to normal. After this, I'm sure that the save was successful. If I don't get that effect, I repeat the save state until it happens again. I'm not sure that...

    Nethack For Gp2x (ascii-only)

Come to think of it ... I just realized that using Shift on the keyboard while entering characters probably won't work. I've tried to correct the problem in STerm 0.3 (available from the file archive), so if you could test that instead, I'd be grateful. Once I know the problem if fixed, I'll...

    Sterm 0.3 Released

It could be that you're almost on the diagonals when you move the joystick. Then it would send events like: left, left/up, left, left/up (for example).

    Sterm 0.3 Released

The reason for uppercasing the letters on the on-screen keyboard is that the very last line of the screen gets cut off. With uppercase letters this is not noticable, but you can definitely tell with lowercase letters. Also, the keys on a real keyboard are uppercased, so I figured it would look...

    Sterm 0.3 Released

STerm is a simple terminal emulator with an on-screen keyboard. This version includes support for the USB keyboard, a 2-line on-screen keyboard, status indicators, and miscellaneous bugfixes. See the NEWS file for details. I checked with the original author to make sure that he approved the...

    Nethack For Gp2x (ascii-only)

By the way: I'd be grateful if someone with a breakout box + USB keyboard could test the game for me. I think I've fixed things so that it works, but I don't (yet) have the means to test this. Basically, arrow keys should move the player, pressing letters should do what you'd expect, and the...

    Announce: Nethack 0.51

On a related note: one of the things that significantly speeded up gameplay in my port was to disable all compression in config.h.
