    It's A Gp2x Free-for-all

My tired eyes must've missed that forum. I apologise on that count, but: Now hold on a sec: where in the post do I say "crappy"? I guess my tired eyes must've missed that too. My main issue with homebrew is that most authors just don't have the time or resources to create a completely polished...

    It's A Gp2x Free-for-all

I'm selling off all my GP2X stuff. Why? Well, it just wasn't for me, you know? The main draw of the GP2X is thousands of retro games and free homebrew but... a lot of it isn't that good. Sure, I guess I had a lot of fun with the classics; the original Mario, Earthbound, all those weird and...

Free Sd Card To Good Home

And the uber-zippy SD card of dodgy origin goes to Orkie. PM me your address, then.

Free Sd Card To Good Home

Due to various circumstances I am loathe to describe, I have one of those uber-zippy SD cards that I don't really need. Free to the first GP2X dev that posts here and has contributed a lot to the GP2X community. Or if you want to buy it, £16 including P&P in the UK.

Sandisk Ultra Ii Sd Cards - Which Are Ok To Use?

Quake gamesaves on my Ridata 4GB card took...40 seconds, at least. On my 1GB Sandisk Extreme III it's instantaneous. As far as I know the Extreme III is the fastest card out there. I use mine for games, and the 4GB is solely for video.

    Is The Emulation Scene Dying?

You know, we (including GPH and craig) could pool together and hire a coder full time to work on things.... This is, of course, another plausible idea that will never happen. I'd just be happy with a decent video player.

    Iriverter

It uses profiles - it can resize to whatever resolution you want it to. The only problem is that, as far as I can see, it encodes to MP4 and there's no way of configuring that.

    A Question Of Optimisation

A lot of things are theoretically possible on the GP2X - fullspeed, full featured SNES, GBA, Genesis/MegaCD/32X emus, 3D, a fast PSX emulator, brilliant video player etc etc. But it all boils down to the fact that they take an extraordinary amount of work, often far beyond the scope of a...

    Iriverter

I've stumbled upon the iriverter, a one click solution for transcoding files for portable devices (well, iriver's), based around mencoder. And this got me thinking. Why didn't we make something like this in the first place? I doubt it would be terribly hard to program, now that somebody's...

    8 Gb Sd In Gp2x ?

More often than not, the 8GB SD cards you find on eBay are fakes - so be careful. Also, craigix reported that they do work - the gp2x can read and write to it, but it can't recognise how big it is. Whatever impact this may have on applications is unknown, so it's best to just wait until GPH...

    Defective Sd Slot...

Christ, the exact same thing has happened to me - but I bought mine back in August... I am fearful of sending it in though, as my GP2X is capable of OCing to 275mhz. Would gp2x.co.uk send me an equivalent unit?
