    Selling my 1ghz Pandora after all these years

    I'll never sell my 600 MHz OpenPandora. It's a wonderful retrogaming device and one thing that makes it stand out over its modern competitors (such as the Anbernic RG350) is the keyboard. Moreover, it can connect to the internet and it has its own app store that still gets new titles or...

    Code::Blocks with C/C++ Compiler

    Thank you! Upgrading the firmware did the trick. Never used Code Blocks before, but I'm familiar with MS Visual Studio.

    Code::Blocks with C/C++ Compiler

    According to my System Info, I have SuperZaxxon R1.72 Is this the latest one?

    Code::Blocks with C/C++ Compiler

    Thanks. While I was able to download it completely from there, nothing happens when I copy it to the menu folder on the SD card. Is there a minimum amount of space required for it to install? (admittedly, I don't have much space left on the SD card once I copy the PND file there -- a few...

    Code::Blocks with C/C++ Compiler

    I've tried to download codeblocks.pnd but instead of it being 2.5 GB like the downloader in Chrome or FireFox says it's supposed to be, it only downloads about 1.3 GB of it or so (I've tried this at least 10 times in both web browsers). And when I try to install the pnd, nothing happens. Are...

    List the open source/homebrew handheld gaming devices that you've owned

    I've owned quite a few myself over the years: -128 KB flash cartridge Pelican Games downloader for the Nintendo Game Boy (sold it when I got something better) -2 MB flash cartridge for the Game Boy -- forget what it's called (I removed the sticker label) and I still have it and use it -64 MB...

    The Gp2x F-100 Original Joystick Appreciation Thread

    Was the original joystick for the GP2X F-100 really that bad? I thought that it fitted comfortably under my left thumb and was very functional. It was also unique to have this type of controller on a handheld games system.

    Grieving For The Gp2x

    Bought a '2X way back in 2006. Ah, the memories... I think I'll dust off that ol' handy handheld and give it another go just for old times sake ;)

    Battery Charger

    Energizer sells a 15 minute charger. It's worth it's weight in gold. Whenever my '2x batteries die (and this happens a lot), there is only 15 minutes of 'down' time while waiting for the batteries to be recharged. Another advantage for this fast charger is that I also use it to recharge my...

    Stella 2.3 Released!

    All of the issues that I had with 2.2 were addressed in this release (2.3). What a great emulator, thank you.

    I May Have Done The Gp2x An Injustice ...

    I haven't talked anyone into buying one, but most of the people who have played the games on mine wouldn't mind having one. If someone I know bought one who didn't know computers very well who wanted my help to set it up, I probably would just copy the contents of my SD card onto his.

    Why Does Everyone Hate The Gp2x Joystick?

    I thought about this as I was downgrading back to version 2.0 -- what if I put the autorun.gpu on the root of the NAND memory? Is that what you did Amon_Re?

    In2x - What Games Have You Gotten To Work?

    I'm going to test all of the Intellivision roms I downloaded and post a list of 'works' and 'doesn't work' right here. The problem with testing these games is that when a game crashes, I have to shut down the GP2X and restart it, so this is a bit time consuming. The 'doesn't work' list might...

    Why Does Everyone Hate The Gp2x Joystick?

    I just tried FW 2.1.1 -- ARRRGHHHH, now Gmenu2x doesn't work :( WEll, back to 2.0 for me. (Gmenu2x is the coolest thing to ever happen to the '2x, it's about a million times better than the stock FW menu--no more clicking on "game" and then going through a million folders to just play a game)...

    Why Does Everyone Hate The Gp2x Joystick?

    I never found the GP2x joystick to be much of a problem. In fact, I kind of like it, it's 16 directions are very useful for games like Sinistar. These are the _real_ problems of the GP2x: -Volume controlled by software through buttons instead of a manual knob or slider. Don't you find it...

    No More 275mhz Units?

    I don't understand the hype surrounding overclocking. The GP2x sucks battery life enough as it is and I don't want to use up any more of it. If I find a game stutters at 200 MHz, I don't even bother with it and I remove it from my SD card forever. Instead of expecting the GP2x to live with...

    In2x - What Games Have You Gotten To Work?

    The latest version (released in Oct 25) has 2:1. I did find new ROMS, however, some of them didn't work. But at least around 80% do so far, which is better than before.

    In2x - What Games Have You Gotten To Work?

    Please disregard the premise of this thread. I compared the ROMs that worked with the ones that didn't and it turned out that the ones that did not work were corrupted.

    In2x - What Games Have You Gotten To Work?

    I had about 35 ROMS and I tested them all with IN2x and I got 6 to work: Astrosmash Empire Strikes Back Lock N Chase Shark Shark Star Strike Utopia What other games have you guys gotten to work?

    O2em V1.01 An Odyssey 2 (g7000) & Videopac+ Emulator For The Gp2x

    I had the same problem -- I had 56 roms and only 45 showed up, so I added 4 'dummy' files to round it out to 60 and now all of the games show up.
