5G record data speed

Oh they'd most likely need to make the limits much higher to match the new speed.

It has said that 5G would be able to use very high-frequency spectrum - above 6 GHz - to run a range of services - from holographic projections to financial trading.

Wouldn't using such a high frequency make it pretty useless for a mobile network? They also only tested to 100 metres.  Sounds like an advancement in WIFI though.

Samsungs breakthrough sounded applicable for mobile networks, but that was 7 gigabits and did some wizardry with the higher frequencies and lower frequencies to make it happen.

Using higher frequencies makes the signal behave more like something that needs line of sight, whereas low frequencies propagate through gaps that are less than their wavelength iirc. It might mean this is relative poor at indoors coverage therefore.
