I am sure I am not the only one this applies to. A lot of schools use 802.1X to protect their wireless networks. I was wondering if the pandora will have support for 802.1X out of the box. I did a search for 802.1X in the pandora section and it didn't come up with anything.

Considering Linux has full support for it, and its just a layer on top of normal packet sending, then I would imagine so.

True, but will the Pandora wifi utility support it or will have have to go through some other way and make it work???

We don't have a great amount of detail about the software right now, but the hardware supports encryption. Right now it's just a matter of someone coming up with a utility to connect to encrypted networks. Chances are it will work right out of the box, so i wouldn't worry about it too much.

There is NetworkManager, which has several frontends. It depends on dbus, which should be present on any system.
