I have some Avi's I want to encode for my Gamepark. And the problem is this. I encode it to XviD just fine. but the original avi's I'm encoding from are MP3 32000. How do I change it to 44, 22, or the 11500 ? Virtualdub won't let me, (only like 32, 16, and one other) and I am sure that none of those are supported by GPCinema Grrrr.. Is this a lost cause? is it not possible to change it from its 32K value to one that is supported by GPCinema?

Thanks.

look for :
-aviwav (a soft that let you extract a .wav sound file from a .avi)
-dbPowerAmp (freeware that can convert from anything to anything [only audio])

open you 32k file with dbpoweramp and say you want it to 11 22 or 44
(11 is the best for GP32 I think)

see you

thanks a bunch. I will give that a try.

Update:
I did in fact export the WAV w/ vdub. I am working w/ dbPowerAmpMusicConverter (I think its called) now. I will then use the Wave import on vdub and make sure its all lined back up (I hope that part isn't tough)

you can extract the audio with vdub as well

also, I prefer 22khz mono for gp32, 11khz is just too noisy

shouldn't you first go to the audio conversion tab, and there tell vdub to sample at 44.1 kHz, and then you can compress to 11.025 kHz...

Racemaniac, Thanks for the note. I have though, in fact, tried that before I posted. (I tried converting that way.) I also tried Compressing into Divx Audio (As it listed 11025, etc.) But the end result of that one was either (audio too slow (deep voices) if it was less than 32K, or too fast (chimpmonks)) if it was 441.

I would say that when using dbpoweramp you can normalize the sound so it sill sound better on the GP32...
another good thing is when using aviwav you can extract easier than with Vdub...
(especially good if you wanna extract wav from 26 files then you can just select them all and select 'to wav' => faster than with Vdub)

see you

Hmmm..

Okay I got it to encode back to MP3. I tried it at 11025 Stereo (still reset the GP32) and I tried it at 22050 Mono (reset it yet again)

I am using the latest Koepi build (1.0Final) of the XviD Codec.

I guess I will try one of his older Codecs to see if that might be the reason. i'm not sure what other reason might be for resetting the GP32.
