Yes. If the current Pandora is considered a failure, and abandoned 6 months ago.

Why would you want a device that can be developed and available for sale no sooner then 2 years from now to use a piece of hardware that by then will be not only outdated, but sadly outdated?
With the turnaround time there is on this thing it's going to be more like 3 years, at soonest.

Wow, I guess we'll have to settle for open-source operating systems that can easily be ported to ARM, like Linux.

Anyway, the Pandora isn't slated to get any hardware upgrades for maybe a few years, depending on how backwards-compatible the A9 will be with the A8. If it can still run A8 binaries, they might upgrade it in a couple years.

Right now, they aren't even planning for it.
