Not a really big thing,
but nice to know:

The Expansion Port pinout of GPHs Caanoo is
nearly the same as on the WIZ, thatswhy
it´s possible to use most of Wiz adapters too:

Here is a short test video, shows succesfully Terminal acsess to my Caanoo:

Thanks for the video, andy. :) It reveals some valuable informations:

-The Caanoo uses a Wolfson Microelectronics WM1800 instead of the Cirrus Logic solution.
-GPH now uses CRAMFS for the RootFS and YAFFS for the file-system instead of UBIFS.
-The EXT port is compatible to the Wiz. :)

Hey sbock :) ,

@EXT port:
one of GPHs Devs assured me, that the EXT ports are indentical,
but i found there some slightly differences .
So, e.g. my selfmade terminal cable (with integrated TTL-232 converter) doesn´t
work with the Caanoo...
I guess, it´s a power supply issue, maybe the power is not to find on all the same pins like on Wiz but i´ll check it tomorrow...

Finally, after measuring the current voltages and lines
i got the reason, why my old WIZ adapters doesn´t work with the Caanoo.

GPH has moved the lines:
Pin #4 : BATT_IN_OUT 5V / Pin #5 : BATT_IN_OUT 5V
Pin #17 : USB HOST D+
Pin #18 : USB HOST D-
Pin #12 : Power GND (Ground is of course provided to the EXT port and the USB Connector ;) )

from the EXT Port to the USB Host Port.

So you´re not able anymore to use the USB-Host Datalines and the current voltage form the Ext Port <_<

Sorry for refloating. ¿This means that you need to get the +5V out for the serial cable from the USB connector, or you can get from other EXT pins? My Wiz serial cable not works in Caanoo for this. I'd like to use only one EXT connector for the serial cable.

The easiest way is, to pick up the 5+ voltage from the USB-Port :) .

okay this solution is not so sexy B) , but it works...

Another way is, to take the power from the other side, in this case from your PC / Notebook or from a USB source (e.g a active Usb-Hub).
