Can't Compile Correctly

so it has to be a problem with my gp2x, most likely the firmware

Doubt the direct cause is the firmware, as you are linking statically.

I would try running it from within a telnet session. You can get a telnet session going by setting up USB networking on the GP2X and using linux's gadget driver:

http://wiki.gp2x.org/wiki/UsbNet_on_Linux

If you have problems getting networking set up on your F100, you should downgrade to the 2.1.1 firmware. You might need to use Orkie's NAND blanker first, as GPH is retarded and your NAND inevitably gets "bad" blocks after repeated firmware writes (they're aren't actually bad, they've just mistakenly been marked bad by their awful NAND driver.

confirm it does have full permissions:

type

ls -l hello

on the gp2x (using telnet, ssh, or Termula2x)

-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 968060 Jul 27 20 08 hello

hello is green

and i don't have ssh or telnet
the new 4.1 and 4 don't have telnet ssh ftp or http

i use a terminal program called sterm it's a port of sterm for the gp2x i use it because it's easy to type in

and i can't downgrade i need to use this firmware for reasons of my own

it's the same firmware as the f200 but gph modded it for the f100

im going to start development for the f200 Thursday when i get one so i need to use this firmware

just so i can get used to it

Not to sound cocky, but when Open2X comes out, FW 4.0 will be a distant, frightening memory.

Ya well i would love to use open2x but as i said im going to develop on the f200 and the current open2x has no touch screen support

and why get a f200 and not use the touch screen

especially when there is no posted proof that the current firmware wont brick the f200

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
im getting sick and tired of this

why does it work on everyone elses

BUT NEVER MINE!!!!!!!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

i think i'll just give up on this firmware

thanks

Well i have news

I bricked it

i kind of forgot that i was using an sdhc card

and when i ran the update program it did nothing

the result meant that i thought the update program worked so i restarted

i hit select and start

it updated the bootloader and reset

it didn't boot

i had realized that the update executable did nothing

so i got out a non sdhc card and put the filesystem image on it

but my brother being an idiot grabbed it and said just hit start select

well it didn't update correctly and it sat about 3 hours on the updating firmware screen

giving up i reset it and now i have 0% functionality

when i turn it on the screen doesn't even turn on, the only sign that it is on is the power light

that means u-boot is corrupt

i do not have the tools to restore it

in the very unlikely situation that i don't get my f200 in the mail before vacation friday

i will be very very bored

wish me luck
