I'm in the UK, we're currently in BST summer time. UTC +1

After upgrading to HotFix5 and rebooting, the clock was strange, I had to set it 1 hour ahead of the time I wanted to see on the panel clock. I would have sort of understood if it had been 1 hour behind, like I was setting UTC time.

I did

Code:
hwclock -w

to copy system time to hardware clock.

Now after reboot, the clock showed the 1 hour forward (of BST) that I had set it to in Date/Time setting tool.

Now when I set time in GUI, the clock shows the same time that I set it to, so seems normal now.

Can anyone explain the wierdness?

Did anyone else experience the same thing?

First post from Pandora plus I'm sitting outside, this rocks!

Evil Dragon used the wrong timezone data files when he created the date/time editor thing. I think it was fixed in HF5 (don't know for sure since I continue to run HF4). If you bring up the Pandora menu->settings->date and time, it should ask you for your location (previously it just asked GMT+/-X) which will correctly set the timezone data, and allow you to set your time properly.
