i was curious if pandora could emulate consoles, for emample the gba. before you say "no no no, its the megahurtz myth" and shun me for even posting this, i have another way to do it. still using my gba example, i know there are gba emulator for computers and what a coincidence!, pandora is also part computer. so is there any reason you couldnt use a emulator for cpu on the pandora? ty in advance.

Okay, you obviously haven't bothered to look around much, but I'll humour you.

Yes, it can emulate consoles, up to about the N64 and Playstation. It already has a GBA emulator, although don't expect one for the NintendoDS.

Is this satire?

Not sure, I'm keeping my mouth shut. It's tempting.. So much snark to be had.

I seriously think it is. And if so, how clever.

the first post on a forum should never be a new topic.....and this is why, but welcome to the community. if all youre looking for is gba emulation, look into a dingoo or a gp2x or perhaps a wiz or a canoo, something a little cheaper will do you just fine for something so simple, you will find info on all those products on this same website, just different subforums, if any more help is needed just ask if youre unfamiliar on how forums, websites, or the interwebs works

If he was only looking for GBA emulation, wouldn't it be better just to suggest getting a GBA and a flash cart?

Because then It wouldn't be an emulation, just cool.

But the GBA is the weakest link for Pandora emulation, so when doing a super stealthy troll, it makes sense to pick that one.....

My response was questioning why DaMummy did not suggest one of the simplest solutions, it had nothing to do with any of the preconceptions we have about the OP.

Well if you want to change your ways, I recommend a GBA Micro.

It will be the smallest, coolest little console you own. You need good eyesight mind you.

The GBA can do GB, Nes and Master System very well, plus some others.

Wait... the DS is better than a GBA because it can run GBA games? :D

Oh, you mean like convergence? Okay. I find it's better with the native screen resolution but okay.

The only bad point of a real GBA is the crappy audio output. Much cleaner on emulators (which is why I prefer to play the Bit Generations games on my Pandora... Exophase's emulator can't run them from my own testing)

I personally thought that the GBA micro was one of Nintendo's most stupid handheld decisions. That belief stayed with me until they came out with the DSi LL.

I mean, The SP had already pretty much perfected the GBA design.

I do like my SP, but I wouldn't describe it as perfect. For example, no headphone port and the buttons are of the clicky style. I personally prefer mushy buttons. Yeah, it does come down to personal preference.

The GBA is alright really because you have quite a few choices, and you pick which you like.

My ultimate option would be a backlit version of the original GBA. I know you can get these second hand (modded) but I rarely come across them.

I've still got a platinum edition original kicking about. Thanks for reminding me to get it modded! :)
