A very big Australian technology radio show has taken a look at the GP2X. This also includes an interview with Doug, the owner of the Australian GP2X Shop

For a radio show, this is very main-stream. It’s being replayed in about 100 major radio locations.

Here's to Doug, who took the interview even while he was on his honeymoon. That's dedication!

hitbyambulance: I got my unit from them a few months ago. Highly recommended shop, top service.

Not a bad interview, Doug was good but the interviewer irritated me by calling it the G P 2 X (1/2 second pauses between each letter) and what's with the incessant, annoying background music trying to drown out the speakers?

True, the G P 2 X thing was lame, but atleast people will remember that it is GPX2 and not GP2X. (except that he called it the GPX2 at the end of the interview.

The interview was good overall. I disagree that it can't be used as a movie player. I can jam atleast 10 movies at high quality (QVGA) on my 4GB card. 6 batteries@2500mah will last all day on a plane.

Yeah sorry about the lack of knowledge with the movie compresion sizes I haven't played around with movies that much, and I was abit jetlagged. But thanks for your support anyways!

icurafu if you didn't mind I'd like to know how you encode your movies ie, what software/compresion/settings you use and put it up on the GP2X.net.au site, I think it would be great for users.

By the way, I had a long conversation with Charlie Brown the DJ after the interview and he really supports the independant spirit of the GP2X and it's community.

Thanks to everyone for listening, Viva GP2X!!!!

cheers DOUG

P.S. Still traveling on my honeymoon, that's why I haven't been so active on the forums.
