We've got a number of systems with 1 or more emulator and I've got some SD cards that I'd like to put the best versions of each emulator on so what's the best in your opinion and if I should put both on why should I do that!

Megadrive
Dos
Spectrum
Commodore
NES
SNES
Master System
Neo Geo
Gameboy Advance

All have more than one emulator and I've probably missed some systems out!

Megadrive = Picodrive
Dos = ?
Spectrum = GP2xSpectrum
Commodore = Frodo/Vice
NES = ?
SNES = SquidgeSnes 0.39x
Master System = DrMD
Neo Geo = Gngeo2X
Gameboy Advance = SPSP

Megadrive = PicoDrive
Dos = don't bother, not playable yet
Spectrum = GP2XSpectrum
Commodore = Vice & Frodo combo (some games run better in one, some the other)
NES = GPFCE, though FishyNES is still very good
SNES = SquidgeSNES 0.392
Master System = Alexkidd2x
Neo Geo = GNGeo
Gameboy Advance = gpSP

The lists above look pretty accurate to me, but for me, GPFCE is the clear choice for NES. Though the speed is very similar to FishyNES, it has more options and much better compatibility.

GPSP (excellent upcoming GBA emulator) isn't listed. Also, HU6280 doesn't work right on the new firmware--use gp2xEngine.
Hu6280 works - you just need to disable squidgehack in the ini file.

I know, but wouldn't that make it run less smoothly, or can't you really notice the difference?

I recall vobbo saying that the MMU hack hardly affected his emu's performance :)
