doom 3 engine source codee coming soon
pandora port maybe?
doom 3 engine source codee coming soon
That would be mind-blowing! Not sure if it's possible though ... I think I managed to run a demo of it on a PC with specs close to what the Pandora has on paper, but from various threads I learned that specs and specs is not always the same
What about RtCW, is there a source code available? A port being worked on? I would actually prefer that over a Doom3 port![]()
Woooot, calling Mr. Pickle...
I hope Doom 3 plays better on ther pandora than Quake 3 does. We should not forget that even a good port doesn't mean automaticly good gameplay on such a different Plattform like a Handheld. Doom 3 was made for PC, same like Quake3...and I never managed to really "play" Q3 on the Pandora (in the meaning of fighting like I did on the PC ages ago), sadly. ^^""
There is a XBox Version of Doom 3 but I doubt thatthere also is the full source available.
It's possible, I think it would be pushing the hardware to the limits (in a good way), it's a pretty big goal to get it running once they release the source.
Sounds like a great shout to me/and probably the most realistic shout so far doobieplex, good sugestioned mentioned some money was set aside for software development in his business plan but I agree that it could be spent better. A big community bounty for doom3 gets my vote. Maybe everyone can agree on what a "playable" fps would be and set the bounty requirement to that?
